It's been too long since I have held one of these! In the past they have been quite epic with up to 50 bikes having something done to them at one time in tech days gone by.

Let's get together, wrench, lie, and eat some food.

When:

November 10, 2012 from 8 AM to 5 PM

Where:

Phil, Jamie, and Amelia's House (Firefight911, 2bmwfan, 3bmwfan)
151 Orange Blossom Circle
Folsom, CA 95630

9one6-three37-7six73three

What:

Lie
Wrench
Company
Food

Oh, and there will be BMWs there as well!!! I'm cross posting to my BMW forum on the same day. They're up for a good ribbing about final drives, etc.

If you've been to our tech days in the past, you know what to expect....just don't go to the old house. We aren't there anymore. The new house has a great three car garage to work in.

Post up so I know how much food to have on hand! The BBQ will be hot! The coffee pot won't stop!

Any project is welcome. Any requests?

Amelia can not wait to meet those of you she hasn't yet met! Psst, her hugs are pretty amazing!!

See ya there

Do any of you know who was responsible for the Rider Trip database provided for the Yukon Rally? It would be nice to have similar database.

Bumpity, bump, bump!

I've been quite pre-occupied of late but want to bump this up to make sure everyone is aware and knows that they are welcome.

I'vfe been PM'd about topics for the tech day so if there is a request for a topic let us all know by posting it in this thread.

I will be doing a suspension workshop. It will be brief but will hopefully be of assistance to those requesting it. I'll be happy to help do some set up as well.

I know that there will be an OEM heated grip install going on. That should be of interest.

My bike needs nothing but I'll be happy to go over anything and everything I've done with mine with anyone interested.

OK, what else????

I'm coming for a suspension setup, a zirc fitting on the shifter, and possibly an oil change if the mileage is close.

Plus one - on my calendar.
I can't be sure about work or making the ride or weather yet would love to make it up. I'd like to know more about my suspension set up's.
Sounds great and thanks for a great thing you do FireFight/Phil.
best,
Dan Tz

I prolly have the tap. May have to track down the correct bit. I'll check around for the fittings, shop supplier, Ace, etc.

Sweet! You do that and I'll make sure we get any expenses covered from those who partake.

Because I extended my left side heal guard, I'll be getting a 90 degree zerk. Do you think straights will work for everybody else? Like the picture posted already...

Eric posted a pic. You even replied to it on July 19th. It's in "What you did to your Tenere Today". Reply # 3147.

Since the event is just a week away, I need some info. Is somebody buying zerks and we pay him on site, or do I need to supply my own? If so, what size and where do I get it?

Sorry for the dumb question, but this is my first time attending one of these events. --Gene

I'm going to be going with Eric's instructions to the letter. If y'all want to buy your own, that's fine, just so they are all 6mm x 1.0 so I can be sure to have the right size drill bit and tap.
