My first warranty claim

i just want to know how to keep the 1/4 turn fastener in place in the panel. It keeps falling out after I remove the panel. It seems the little nylon washer doesn't hold it in. I only have this issue with one of the four fasteners.
I suppose the female part of the fastener is on back order!!!!

How elegant do you want the fix to be? Wrap a twist tie around the bolt so the washer doesn't fall off, thus retaining the bolt. Or a small zip tie, or some electrical tape even. Or bitch to the dealer and see if they replace it under warranty.
