Wow NOLA is super high speed. I was clocked at 170 mph down the front straight in 6th gear at 13k rpms. Even the infield esses are very high speed. Very flat no banked curves so all your faith is in the tires at lean angle.

Rolling in Friday night I thought this was a cool shot

Bugs are bad down there and love bugs are in season. Cleaned my visor more than once during the weekend. Paddock area is a spacious 17 acres of paved asphalt. Power was a bit sketchy as my camper main breaker tripped more than a few times.

I clicked right away with this track after only 3 sessions on Saturday I was witching 2 seconds of Wera expert times in A classes. There was no official photographer for the weekend but this guy showed up on Sunday and snapped a few.

Definetely going back loved the track layout its super fast and with some very tricky corners thrown in. Front straight is definetely built for HP. I was on the right bike for sure. It was a rocket ship down the straight.

I must avoid threads like this. I have a track bike that is just sitting collecting dust. About 4 years worth.
Only the amount of work it now needs is what is keeping me from doing the drug!

I'm not fast, but there is something very calming about a day of ballet at WOT.
The wife even likes the affect it has on me. Says I come back calm and content.

All true.

Dang you touched a nerve. :)

Yes it's serious addiction with me. I have not touched my Tenere since returning from Utah way back on July 22nd. I have a few more track weekends scheduled this year. I may even head back to nola during the winter. Should be nice down there come dec and jan.

Bring your bike out of hibernation nothing does the soul better than a weekend at the track. I'm very lucky my wife loves to setup house at the track for a weekend. She loves the track life as long as she has her scooter and the house with her.

I raced with Wera at Nola this past weekend. Rain races on Saturday and I was on race DOTs not rains. Luckily I finished, some were not so lucky.

Saturdays finishes

Sunday it was cold and very windy. I led the last race from the flag but screwed up T8 on the last lap and lost by .36 seconds.

Sundays finishes

Not to shabby for my first race weekend in 8 years. Lots a luck fell in my favor but it very well could go the other way as it has in the past.

Thanks snakebitten!

It is officially the off season. The bike is on the lift and is being gone over and items replaced.

I've added a Vortex front brake lever guard. Fresh 520 gearing with a new DID ERV3 race chain. New Vesrah Super RJL front brake pads with fresh brake fluid. Nice Ohlins steering damper. Changed all the engine fluids and cleaned out the bugs on the air filter. ;D Cleaned the bike up real good and went over it with a fine tooth comb. A fresh set of Michelin slicks go on after Christmas. My regions season with WERA starts Jan 25-26 at Nola Motorsports park that is if the weather forecast is ok. I am not racing in rain and cold if I can help it.

The 2015 version nicely painted up with fresh paint. She was a winner in 2014 bringing home one championship and runner up in two other classes. We did have one lowside crash last weekend of the year at Nola but I was able to patch her up and race the last race of the year.

2015 WERA Nola and mid central region seasons kick off Jan 31, Feb 1 at Nola.

She's 100% ready

2015 season started off pretty good

3-1st place, 2-3rds and a 6th. The 6th was the result of a rear tire that was shot. Picked up my #1 plate for my 2014 SSBK expert class championship.

Happy guy and his bike

We head to round 2 at Talladega Feb 21-22.

Talladega 1 round

Lots of rain and cold nasty weather the entire weekend.

Didn't slow the big Suzuki down much

Looking the business on black wheels with rain tires mounted up. I actually like the look over the stock gold wheels that my slicks are mounted on.

Took home a 1st place, 2-2nds, a 3rd and a 5th which I ran off during that one having rear tire issues. My last race was cancelled due to oil on the track that couldn't be cleaned due to the rain. I will run that race at a later date at another event.

I am on a 7 week break in the schedule right now. Next up we return to Talladega for the 2nd round there this year on April 25th. Hoping for better weather then. I have a good healthy points lead in two classes and 23 points adrift in one class but still in 2nd there.

I've had mine for a year this month, really enjoying it. When I got it there was only 920 miles on the clock, barely broken in...
