Mounting a gun (no joke)

I want to attach My AR carbine to the side of one of my OEM cases. ( I have all 3)
and carry this rifle out in the country for shooting of course.
Has anyone seen a mount system or been creative enough to design one?
I think a ton of bungee cords and tie-down straps will get pretty ugly real quick.
I dont want to use my hard case, just the rifle strapped onto a solid mounting point or base. Open carry, if you can imagine.

The only freedom you'd have is the freedom to remain silent.

I've strapped a long gun case across my rear seat and saddle bags. Threw a padlock on it to make the case "locked". Worked well.

That mount looks good but on a bike I'd want better protection from the elements, dust, dirt, mud.....
