I've been running a Pirelli Scorpion Rally front with the E07 up back. I prefer the Rally ofver the E10 for its bigger knobs off road in loose and soft stuff. On road they are much the same for me, although the Pirelli tapers its knobs more as it wears. Life is similar to the E10.

The E07 for me is way better than the previous K60. Lasts significantly longer and grips better everywhere. I have no need to try a different rear, although I do have a pair of Savas in the shed to wear out sometime.

They are a good looking tire. Sure seems like with the growing segment we are all members of, that there would be more tires to choose from with similar design.
You know, knobbie-like open and independent blocks, but tighter spacing like these.

Yep, good looking tire.

I have a thread posted in Technical under "anyone run tubes" if you want to read more about what follows.

My front e07 suffered from a slow leak after only 3 months and less than 500 mi.

Turned out that when I set the bead some of the whiskers on the tire bent and got caught under the lip of the rim. After riding in the dirt the leak developed because the trapped whiskers made a perfect channel for dirt to make its way under the lip of the rim. Breaking the bead and scrubbing clean the visible amounts of dirt and ensuring no whisker were trapped when resetting the bead remedied the issue.

So, if you have a 5 psi/day leak check your whiskers.

I've had these on for about 2000 miles, some off-road, mostly super slab. Wet or dry these handle very well. I've been in "frog chokers" at 70+ and they were rock solid. I Haven't been too limited in the twisties once I gained confidence in the rubber. At 90+ a lot of vibration but at reasonable speeds these are very impressive for a 50/50. I wear ear plugs and don't find them intrusive. There is a slight vibration compared to the Anakee 3's at normal speeds (below 80 ) that I had on before these but nothing that would dissuade me from buying these again. I can't give an opinion on wear just yet but I can tell you I have total confidence that these tires can handle just about anything you throw at them.

Got mine on last week. I've only had a chance to do one 40 mile ride so far, but I really didn't notice any increased noise or vibration over the Battlewings. Of course I was going fast in freeway traffic and had ear plugs in and it was freezing cold so lots of other distractions.

Gone over 9,000 kms on my rear this week. Likely to go 12,000 I think. 5,000 for the previous K60. I've never got 10,000 kms from a rear tyre on any bike, ever, in my 44 years riding. Still grips too, I'm impressed and have no need to try anything else, other than the Sava currently in the shed.

E07 rears for S10 ::008::

Ordered me a yellow stripe Dakar E07 from motorrace. They were the only one I could find that had them in stock. Looking forward to giving this tire a shot.

They had more of the non-Dakar tires, but I wanted the extra ply. I went through three K60s with never a puncture. Tried a Karoo 3 and Anakee 3, both got punctures. I may be superstitious, but I've had good luck with stiff tires.

I think flats are random chance. I hadn't had a flat on the street in over 35 years, and 4 days after I mounted a K-60 I had 2 in 24 hrs on my way to Indiana from Florida. Both were from nails though, not from hitting objects off road, which I'm sure the K-60's could handle very well. But having said that, I think I rode what was probably the shittiest off road any of us did in Arkansas with Pilot Road 4's and they came through unscathed, unlike some of the K-60's, TKC's and Big Blocks on the same ride. Just to be fair, I don't think anyone got a flat, but those "off road" tires looked beat to shit, compared to my "street" tires. ;D

Nothing reveals how much fun you just had on your bike than when you park it and see tires that look beat to sh!#t. :)
Warms my heart just thinking about it.
A tire, giving up its life and limb to DELIVER.

LOL Snake, you always have such a great take on things...

Make no mistake though, even though the PR4's didn't look the part, they DID deliver. ::012::
