The Short Version:
Micatech V2 Panniers (both 10" wide / black) and SW-Motech Racks and bag liners for Yamaha Super Tenere. Brand new, never mounted.
Retail value is $1,300.
Asking $1,100 if picked up locally here in Bozeman, MT. You pay actual shipping (It cost me $120 shipping when I bought them).
The Long Version:
I'm selling this full Micatech pannier setup (panniers, racks, liner bags) for a Yamaha Super Tenere. They are new in the box and I only pulled the panniers out of the box, when they first arrived a couple years ago, to ensure no shipping damage or defects. I was unable to take delivery of my Super Tenere that year due to a changing financial situation and would like to sell these panniers.
Both panniers are 10" wide and in black. Some prefer the 8" wide pannier on the exhaust side and 10" on the non-exhaust side. Some prefer both 10" or both 8". I chose to get both 10" wide because I wanted the most capacity available and because I planned to use a set of my Wolfman Expedition Dry soft-saddlebags for when I had smaller loads or wanted a narrower overall width. Wolfman makes D-rings that attach to racks that allow use of Wolfman soft saddlebags when the panniers are removed. That way, when I was on road trips, I'd have plenty of room in the 10" panniers and if I wanted to carry less or didn't want hard panniers when on trips where I'd be riding more difficult terrain, I could put on the Wolfman saddlebags from my small bike.
One nice feature of the SW-Motech racks is they are also quick release so you can take the racks themselves off and put them on in minutes while leaving only the small mounting brackets on the bike. That way, if you want the panniers off, you can also remove the panniers but also the racks in minutes. Nice touch.
I also have two large liner bags. They are the ones that go inside the pannier and stack on one another. Two of these will fit in one pannier stacked, or use one in each pannier. The liners were $30 each.
As is expected, the shipping is the killer on these. Two huge boxes for the panniers and one big box with the racks. Micatech charged me $120.92 for shipping from the East coast to Montana.
Typically they sell these as a kit with the panniers and SWMotech racks for $1,140 plus shipping.
So, that makes this kit price out as follows.
$740 for two 10" V2 Panniers
$60 for two Large Pannier Liner Bags
$100+ shipping to CONUS
$400 SWMotech racks with bolts and Trax adapter
$1,300 Total
So, I'm asking $1,100 for local pickup (saves you $200 off ordering). These are located in Bozeman, MT. To ship, you pay actual shipping. Again, these have only been pulled out of the box, when they arrived, to inspect for shipping damages or defect). They are brand new.
Local deals would be cash-only. To ship, checks are accepted and panniers will ship once payment clears. I can accept paypal, as a form of payment, for an extra 3%, which is what Paypal charges me.
The attached photos are not of my panniers. I poached them from Speedstar from another thread (sorry speedstar, but they just looked so great!). The photos are of a 10" and an 8", but both of my panniers are 10" but in the same black color.
