The Short Version:
Micatech V2 Panniers (both 10" wide / black) and SW-Motech Racks and bag liners for Yamaha Super Tenere. Brand new, never mounted.
Retail value is $1,300.
Asking $1,100 if picked up locally here in Bozeman, MT. You pay actual shipping (It cost me $120 shipping when I bought them).

The Long Version:
I'm selling this full Micatech pannier setup (panniers, racks, liner bags) for a Yamaha Super Tenere. They are new in the box and I only pulled the panniers out of the box, when they first arrived a couple years ago, to ensure no shipping damage or defects. I was unable to take delivery of my Super Tenere that year due to a changing financial situation and would like to sell these panniers.

Both panniers are 10" wide and in black. Some prefer the 8" wide pannier on the exhaust side and 10" on the non-exhaust side. Some prefer both 10" or both 8". I chose to get both 10" wide because I wanted the most capacity available and because I planned to use a set of my Wolfman Expedition Dry soft-saddlebags for when I had smaller loads or wanted a narrower overall width. Wolfman makes D-rings that attach to racks that allow use of Wolfman soft saddlebags when the panniers are removed. That way, when I was on road trips, I'd have plenty of room in the 10" panniers and if I wanted to carry less or didn't want hard panniers when on trips where I'd be riding more difficult terrain, I could put on the Wolfman saddlebags from my small bike.

One nice feature of the SW-Motech racks is they are also quick release so you can take the racks themselves off and put them on in minutes while leaving only the small mounting brackets on the bike. That way, if you want the panniers off, you can also remove the panniers but also the racks in minutes. Nice touch.

I also have two large liner bags. They are the ones that go inside the pannier and stack on one another. Two of these will fit in one pannier stacked, or use one in each pannier. The liners were $30 each.
As is expected, the shipping is the killer on these. Two huge boxes for the panniers and one big box with the racks. Micatech charged me $120.92 for shipping from the East coast to Montana.

Typically they sell these as a kit with the panniers and SWMotech racks for $1,140 plus shipping.

So, that makes this kit price out as follows.
$740 for two 10" V2 Panniers
$60 for two Large Pannier Liner Bags
$100+ shipping to CONUS
$400 SWMotech racks with bolts and Trax adapter
$1,300 Total

So, I'm asking $1,100 for local pickup (saves you $200 off ordering). These are located in Bozeman, MT. To ship, you pay actual shipping. Again, these have only been pulled out of the box, when they arrived, to inspect for shipping damages or defect). They are brand new.

Local deals would be cash-only. To ship, checks are accepted and panniers will ship once payment clears. I can accept paypal, as a form of payment, for an extra 3%, which is what Paypal charges me.

The attached photos are not of my panniers. I poached them from Speedstar from another thread (sorry speedstar, but they just looked so great!). :) The photos are of a 10" and an 8", but both of my panniers are 10" but in the same black color.

I had these same panniers on my Tenere before I wrecked it. I nuked one pannier, the other came through in good shape and is now being used as a nice little storage box on my garage wall. These are great panniers. I have already have a new set of Micatechs on my new Tenere. The V2's are all quick release .... pannier and racks. you can lock the pannier to the rack, and the rack to the bike. But you don't even notice the racks if you take the panniers off, and they make great tie downs, etc. I recommend them highly. Just sayin' .... R ::008::

I really love my set up with the micatechs. I have had them since I bought the bike. I ride my bike everyday, 7days a week, year round. I have used these bags hard since I owned them. These have performed flawlessly, and I would not hesitate to buy another set, which I don't think I'll have to do, since transferring them to a new bike will mean only brackets. If you buy this luggage you will not be disappointed. Fit and finish are so under-rated. I have no affiliation with the company, and this endorsement comes unsolicited.

::026:: On the Micatech cases. I really liked mine, and the fit and finish was second to none..

I hear you. ::003:: I was doing a bit of sulking myself last fall. Mighty poor this turn of events. Mighty poor. But I'm sure you're gonna be a ball of fire in no time. Well, perhaps a bed of coals ?? Glowing embers ?? Anyway, it will get better at some point. Took me three months to get back to my full 70%. You do what the doc and your wife say, and don't get in too big of a hurry. You'll be up and kicking gravel butt in no time. We're pulling for you. ::020:: Keep us posted. All the best. HR, PM replied to.

Talreli, as noted, the pics are borrowed from SpeedStar on this forum. Shoot him a PM for details on his tail bag setup.

All, Thanks for the posts. I really thing these Micatech V2 are quality kit. Hoping these sell soon. $100 - $200 off is a pretty decent deal as the group buys usually only get you about $75 off.

Come on people.. These are quality cases that work great. They are side loaders and that in my opinion is a stand out feature. You can strap a small bag on the top and still get into the case without taking the top bag off.
The cases are made with a 4" well, so nothing falls out.

In my opinion you won't get a better deal..

Hey Rem, doing ok for an old fart. Ribs have healed for the most part and the collar bone is better.
I decided not to waste the time I have to take off, and will have back surgery to replace a disc. I figured, why waste the summer.. ::025::
I go in this coming Wednesday. Was supposed to go last week, but the insurance company was busy napping.. ::024::

How you doing with your new ride?

Hey, Jim ...... The weather finally turned decent up here, and did it almost overnight. Last weekend spring/summer kicked in and we had a huge melt off. Got my first ride last Monday. Did a couple hundred miles yesterday. The bike is awesome ... hard to tell but it actually seems a little smoother than the other one. It's all good to go. Got my heated grips on Thursday, so it's done. Life is good again, at least for the next three months or so.

Glad you're doing well. Best of luck with the surgery. Please check in as soon as you're up to it. We're pulling for you. ::020:: Don't make me have to come down there. All the best. R ::008:: ::012::

Get Right, Sailor .... ::024::

OH, I should mention MicaTech for this thread. My new Pilots are AWESOME. The attachment system is extremely strong and brings the cases in very close to the bike. I love 'em. They really make good stuff.

They look the same, smell the same and taste the same. Little bigger. Different mounting system, but same high quality all around. I was very happy with my V2's. In fact, one of them came through unscathed. But the other one got banged up pretty badly. They's all good stuff. R

I am in the market for some Panniers for my Tenere.
I have the dual exhaust setup, so I would prefer 2 boxes the same size.
The problem is that I am in NJ...and the shipping is a deal breaker.

Fishcat,
Regarding shipping, please note that my $1,200 price includes the first $100 of shipping which you'd likely have to pay for no matter where you bought them unless you are local to Micatech. If you would need to have them shipped to you anyway, my asking price will save you $100 off of a new set (even though these are new). With items this big, I don't think price makes much of a difference on shipping distance, but I'll be in Minnesota June 03 and could bring these with and ship from there if it decreased the cost.

Also, to answer your question regarding the "roof racks", I thought I'd answer that here for other's information....
The panniers I am selling do not have the optional $75 "Roof Racks". That is what Micatech calls them and they are on their website under Products/Accessories/Roof Racks.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Chad
