I’m running an updated Yamaha cct. No adjusting and AFAIK they are reliable. 50k miles on it.
I had a new one installed at 84,000 miles. Nothing was wrong with the old one, but I let maintenance paranoia get to me. I went back and forth between getting a manual one and the OEM one, and ended up opting for the OEM "set it and forget it" model.

The one I had put in was the one with the part number 2BS-12210-01. I might be wrong, but I think this is actually the third version of the CCT for the 2014 and up models (or at least, it's the third distinct part number for the CCT).

Yeah reading this has made me want to stick with the OEM cct. I don’t know how much quieter the MCct makes it but I’m not taking the risk

I had my Gen1 CCT changed to an OEM Gen2 part at 17k miles, the bike has done about 52k miles now. I had Alf England main dealer in Bedworth do it, I can’t recall the cost, but it was definitely less than £100. The CCT was certainly more than the labour.
I should point out, the - less than £100, was just the fitting.
