I need to do something, I’ve read about the results of doing this but I need to see for myself.

Looking for Soupy’s adjustable lower links for my 2017 STes.
Thanks

Found some from a rider on Adv.

I’ve already dropped the front 1/2, I want to try dropping the rear a inch. Just getting in too many situations where I’m not comfortable. If I’m going to grind the pegs down too easily I’ll remove them.

I would highly recommend not going lower unless you chop down the side stand. This bike is already tippy. When loaded down with gear it stands straight up.

Mine are the shorter raised links. You can get them from Lust Racing.

Here are the lower ones:

Did you drag the pegs before and how bad is it now?
I’m going to try it first before buying a kickstand. I’ll probably have to carry a 2x4 and use the center stand for a while

The handling is amazing and the bike leans over like it should. It turns a bit quicker and fells more balanced at slow speeds. One thing I caution as far as raising it I always put it on one rider no luggage when parking it. It leans over just right even when loaded with luggage.

Here is the thread on what I did and review:

I have the 2” Soupy’s lowering kit on my 2018 ES and I haven’t drug the pegs even though several times it surprised me that it didn’t. Biggest benefit to me is I’m able to almost flat foot the bike. I do flat foot the bike with passenger. I also have the Soupy’s kickstand. It holds the bike up without issues and I like being able to adjust it.

I have a set of lowering links or dog bones, but I never installed them.
Once you lower your bike, you must adjust the front forks, shorten the side stand and now the bike may handle differently and possibly ground strike in steep turns...
So, before you install the links, try:
1.) Buy a good riding boot with a thick sole, or add a thick sole to your boots.
2.) Get a lower seat.
The above works for me and allows me to just flat foot.
Like my luggage setup? Amazon, and a Yammy OEM lower seat.

Always lowered my wife's Teneres. In 30+ thousand miles I think I scrapped a peg once when really pushing it. She never did.

As long as you raise the forks the right amount (I believe it was 13mm) the bike will handle exactly the same as a non-lowered bike. I switched between hers and mine countless times. Both handled the same.

You will want to shorten your kickstand to keep the lean angle reasonable.

If you want send me a PM. I still have both lowering links for the gen1 and gen2 Tenere...yes, they are different. Also have the shortened gen 1 stand that we also used on her gen 2 bike. I actually liked it better on her gen 2. Just a better angle.
