Another thought occurred to me for those geeking out on the internals. I take all the samples regardless of pressure rising or falling on the sensor. I think I may try pulling out the rising measurements and just smoothing the falling measurements and see what that gets me. Also, I think I can smooth the sampling better as well but need to think about how to best do that - with smoothing being a mathematical function as opposed to just adding delay or changing the number of samples taken.

I googled data smoothing and almost had my head explode. I'm sure it makes sense to the mathematically inclined, though!

Certainly looks like a good calculation to have impact the readout - and I agree try just smoothing out the declines for now and see what that looks like. Might be sufficient, or maybe you'll find you need to do both.

Tpak - I'm about an 1.5 hrs south of you (Pueblo West), any chance you still have the harmonizer? I could run up and sync mine?
(with Karson's approval of course :) )
Just thought I'd ask. I've been considering building the Arduino myself.. just haven't got around to it.

Here you go, the rats nest and also video in operation. Can I have my coolest post ever badge anyway?
Note that I say off by 1/10 of a percent, I meant .1 mmHg
Spec is 10.4-11.6 inHg - I was at around 14.8. If i recall the harmonizer shoed about 7.5 in gauge mode.

Yeah, you win. Seriously...

Reminds me of my time as an electronics tech in the Navy. We would geek-out and have a blast with this kind of stuff.

We had more shit wired into our helmets back then (early 90's so there was no Bluetooth).

Using standard telephone wire we concocted a Heads Up Display for our radar detectors. Pretty simple, actually, we opened the detectors and wired into the sound and light signals. Jacked that to the bike by the handlebars, ran the cable down by the seat, jacked from there to our helmets (yes, we had telephone jacks on the side of our helmets, and yes, we carved into our helmets and installed jacks) we were 19 - 22 years-old, so cut us some slack. Installed a small speaker to hear the detector signal, and here's the cool part: mounted LEDS in the leather nose guards which would reflect onto the visor as a head's up display when the detector went off.

We did this to three helmets on a six-month deployment, and the guy who had the original idea (FC3 Jody Holt) applied for a patent for it. Never went anywhere, but we were cooler-than-shit with our snazzy, head's up radar detector rigs.

Quick question, where do you have your air screws set? Are they set to the factory setting?

AV- my white airscrew (right side from rider POV) is now about 1/2 turn out. not sure i remember the position of the left at this point.

I have fiddled with the data and I think that if I only use the downward trending readings and if I smooth the data using a running average from my DIY unit I am almost dead on the manual spec. I need about 2 free hours to take a crack at the SW and then a shot at the bike to verify. Looks like the loaner is about to be up the road in Denver so I may force myself to cran kt he SW out and maybe we can rally some Colorado riders so I get a bigger sample size than 1 ... but I am a bit flaky over the next week or so with kid duty, work, and random work travel so no one should count on it happening. If I can I will ... I really feel like I am close to figuring it out.

Since you ask .. what are you seeing readings wise and what are your screws set to and your altitude? DIY or Harmonizer?
