It's typically called "white lithium grease" in a car parts store. Commonly available. I recall maybe there were some aerosol versions too which would help to get it into tight places.
I don't think it is terribly critical to use lithium grease in most applications. Bel-Ray waterproof grease is the gold standard for a grease to be used as a general lubricant for things on a bike. I have lots of greases, but if I had only one, it would be the Bel-Ray stuff.
