It's typically called "white lithium grease" in a car parts store. Commonly available. I recall maybe there were some aerosol versions too which would help to get it into tight places.

I don't think it is terribly critical to use lithium grease in most applications. Bel-Ray waterproof grease is the gold standard for a grease to be used as a general lubricant for things on a bike. I have lots of greases, but if I had only one, it would be the Bel-Ray stuff.

What about Mobil 1 Synthetic grease (red)? How does that compare?

Most red greases tend to be optimized for wheel bearings and suspension joint applications, but I doubt you would do any harm using it as a general purpose grease.

No matter which grease you buy, be sure it is compatible. Some lithium complex greases don't play well with aluminum complex greases. Read the MFGs literature and you'll be fine. I have an excess supply of Valvoline Moly grease I'me still working on. I bought a case a few years ago because I needed some and that's how they sold it. It isn't the level of the Bel-Ray and Mobil 1 stuff, but is is so slippery you can't use it on bicycle coaster brakes and stop. It is also waterproof to a great degree. I'm only bringing this up for those having problems finding BelRay or similar. It is the Ford spec Valvoline moly stuff.
