Don't think they are anymore. Not with all the "E6B" calculators out and about. You can even use it on the written. Last new pilot at where I flew, had the look of a space cadet, when I brought out an E6B for a x-country we were planning for a training flight.

A doctor on TV last night advised that if a person, with the virus, pets their dog, and somebody else pets the same dog, there's the transmission. He also advised that mammals are mammals; dogs & humans. But, he also advised that it is unlikely that an animal would contract the virus. He didn't say why, but I am assuming their immune system is probably strong than ours. They can eat a long dead animal, and not get sick. That would likely kill us.

Not worth the time to watch.

Epoch Times is a known conspiracy creator, let alone promoter of self-serving propaganda. Anything supporting Falun Gong will be anti-China.

I was thinking the same abacus thing earlier today! The advantage to both is you only have to buy them once, and they won't fail. Trying to guess how many calculators and computers I have purchased over the years. My 6yo computer just crashed last week and waiting for a new one now. Hopefully I will be able to get my files off the old SSD, including my whole maintenance log!

PSA- Since you have an abundance of time, backup you computer and smart phone now!

china is still a 3rd world country , propped up by capitalist , I know missionaries who travel china and away from the show case cities not so pretty . and communist are still oppressive , and muderous . their leader for life is a dictator plain and simple . and dictators are all about the dictator. and about what this nation new about the virus and said nothing , we may or may not ever no the truth cause they will not tell us ever. how ever this plague started in china it started in china , they new there was a problem but lets act like its not a problem see if it goes away is their attitude ..... remember chernoble , communist nations response was to try and hide it . same type of government same response to an issue , world suffers the consequences . how a free person could ever support or praise such a system of government imposed on a people baffles me . what is the next plague coming our way ..... any one willing to guess....

Something that is disgusting is seeing used gloves and wipes in shopping carts and parking lots.

I'm just happy to finally be getting gloves and masks in. The little blue ones behind the ear are for walking around. My N95's are only for being around people other than my wife and mother in law. Shopping, fuel, etc.

Very disturbing was the other day. We went to get a pick up order at a local restaurant we miss going too. I was masked up and gloved as well as other customers picking up food. Uber Eats dude had a nasty beard, no mask, no gloves, and the server just handed him the drinks and food unsealed!! I feel sorry for these servers and customers hat have to deal with these people.

Agree, so how do we fix stupid?
I went to the food store yesterday and I leaned forward to pick up a pack of grapes.
An woman in her sixties comes up and leaned over about a foot away from me.
I gave her a verbal dressing down.
Also I told her that she should be ashamed of herself .

We (and I violated this myself) need to stop the politics or the thread will be closed. Period.

I've gotten to the point in lines at the grocery store and Home Depot that I'll flat tell the person behind me as nice but firmly as possible that I'd appreciate if they would back away and give me space.

I've stopped going to Subway. The (mostly) kids at Subways around here wear disposable gloves but are hanging over the ingredients with no masks. The gloves come off at the cash register and you'll get your cup without gloves at less than 6 fit.

I stated proven facts and only one personal opinion.

The World Health Organization made very poor decisions at the beginning of this Pandemic by recommending to all the world leaders to keep borders open and business as usual with flights coming in and out of various countries.

The only opinion of mine in that statement is "The World Health Organization made very poor decisions". That is mine and I'll own it. I fully understand there are many that will disagree with me and strongly urge the world at keeping open borders and flights at full capacity. Does not make sense to me.

I have been following this Covid- 19 since November. The World Health Organization themselves were crying foul with many world leaders that wanted to close borders/limit flights at beginning of this year. I heard this with my own ears coming out of Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus mouth. You can actually look back in the Youtube archives (December 2019-January 2020) and listen to it yourself. A lot of them from the WHO have been removed to put themselves in a "better light". If you search some more you will find many countries that wanted to shut down borders and flights as early as December of last year.


Another fact is the United States, Germany, and many other countries health organizations are some of the best in the world for treating this and making sound recommendations based on hard data and common sense.
