Ha! And I thought it was just me!

Yeah, I get this, too. I don't think it's wind, 'cuz I've had it happen with every helmet I've owned -- good and bad. Somebody earlier suggested engine vibration and I suspect that's it. I've tried all kinds of things to calm it down: Carmex, Blistex, hand lotion, etc. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. And when they do, it's usually just a short-term thing. Nothing seems to be a 100% cure.

What seems to work best for me is to try to ignore it. Yup, as annoying as it is, if I can get past 10 or 15 minutes of the urge to scratch my nose, it usually goes away. For hours, sometimes the rest of the day. Maybe my mom was right: "Just stop scratching it!"

about that wind coming up and thru the front end :

KTM made a flexible plastic piece that fit around the front forks and attached and "sealed" the opening.

it was fixed with the forks - so when they turned it turned with them.

I think it was also for water coming up and through that opening.

Somebody on here will certainly have the expertise to fix that problem with readily found materials.

It's happened to me both on the Strom and the Tenere.

I just figured it was the helmet which is an Icon Variant and my English beak.

Maybe it's the way the wind enters through the bottom of the helmet and filters through a beard??? It's damn annoying though.

What an odd subject, but yes I suffer from road-nose also. I always try not to scratch it causer it just get worse. A bigger problem is how the heck do you pick your nose through a full face helmet???

Maybe pictures of our noses might help we could look for commonalities???
