LOL, as soon as I saw that photo of the desert-crashed S10 sporting those Mitas E07 tires, I pictured a former forum member suddenly sitting bolt upright like he'd experienced a disturbance in the Force....
LOL, and I was looking at it thinking that if it had Pilot Road 5's on it, (since I've been saying for years that it makes almost no difference what tires you have on the big pig offroad) there would have been fifty posts claiming that was the only reason he crashed.LOL, as soon as I saw that photo of the desert-crashed S10 sporting those Mitas E07 tires, I pictured a former forum member suddenly sitting bolt upright like he'd experienced a disturbance in the Force....
The laws of physics cannot be violated with impunity.LOL, and I was looking at it thinking that if it had Pilot Road 5's on it, (since I've been saying for years that it makes almost no difference what tires you have on the big pig offroad) there would have been fifty posts claiming that was the only reason he crashed.
But they will violate you if you try itThe laws of physics cannot be violated with impunity.
Boy do I like that stud idea! That is something in my future. I had to be real careful about threading in the bolts and was scared the whole time!I also run the ACD. Be sure to change out upper bolts for studs, it makes maintenance much easier. There is a tendency to cross thread upper bolts when trying to put things back together. I took this advice from someone and my buddy who also has a S10 did not. He has regrets. This picture is after first install. Skid plate is now bedlinered black and some what beat up. What is the torque spec for the upper bolts there that you mounted the front of the skid plate to? Looking through the manual, and can’t find anything there….I also run the ACD.
