Another way to sample the vibration is while in neutral, raise the RPM by 200 and depress the clutch, the noise and vibration will disappear, the just multiply that for 3500 - 4000 RPM...that will help you make up your mind like it convinced me.

I don't think dealers will put this in. You have to find an independent, or do it yourself.

Why would a dealer not do this? Obviously they won't do it for free, as this is an upgrade, not a recall, but what would prevent them from installing it? There was no issue with my dealer. Just trying to understand your post.

I had my independent guy do it!!
Some dealers are fussy and may feel if something blows they will get burned for it, as it is illogical to put a part into something with the wrong part number.
Truth is not a lot of Tenere's out in the world of sport bikes, Harley Davidson's, BMW's and Gold Wings reality some of these guys may have never touched one.

Strange. From what my dealer told me, Yamaha Canada takes the position that the new clutch basket is an enhancement for the 2012 and 2013 models. Maybe Yamaha USA is being more conservative in their approach?

Depends on the dealer. My USA dealer has no problem as long as they are paid.
I can only say after my local Yamaha service department manager refused to synchronize my throttle bodies I just call him a Lazy Bastard now and drive 50+ miles one way to get factory warranty work done now.

Just got back from my local dealer with a price of the Primary Drive (Clutch Basket) AUD$580 and 2-3 weeks wait from Japan. A bit high compared to what you guys over in US paying :-0

Contacted, think it was Stadium Yamaha but they never got back to me.

Place where to get one that also ship to Australia?

Cheers.
