Gotta say, you've got me intrigued. I've got to move on to a lighter bike, and the DCT aspect has me interested. A reliable, comfortable, easy to ride bike fits the mold. The only things that made me hesitate were the low power and small tank. At this stage in my life, the speed days are behind me, as are the 500 mile days. I'm find myself becoming very interested in the 750X.
That's part of how I got to the Guzzi V85TT

Re mpg, tires can make a big difference, knobbies kill it. Imagine pressure can have significant difference also.

"And Daddy took the T-bird away".

Shop asked if I'd bring theNC750 back today. I put 722 miles on it over 2 weeks in February! I liked it, good solid bike. Not ready to give up my 890 Adventure but you could do a lot worse than an NC750X

I own a NC750 (a 2020 model before they were lowered with shorter suspension in 2021). It has the dual clutch automatic transmission. It is an amazingly good bike. If I had to have only one bike, that might be it.

This is nuts! Been a week since I had to give the NC750X back. I have the 890 Adventure sitting in the shop that is probably one of my all time favorite bikes yet I'm jonesing to ride the NC? I guess I really liked that bike!

Actually if I'm going to own one it would be a '21 or '22 with 6 speed. Those have the newer frame and dash plus 1/2" shorter suspension/seat height. In '23 they discontinued the 6 speed and only offer the DCT. If I have the disposable cash or a bike I'm willing to sell when I come across one I'll probably grab it up. Of course if the ever bring the NT1100 here that would due nicely too.

Was adding up my mileage since the first of the year. Keep in mind it is winter even if it's been a mild one and I'm in Wisconsin. Just under 1700 miles which is actually down for me. Here's the cool part. Of my total miles, 722 of them were on the NC and it was done in just 2 weeks too. That's almost half my miles for the year. The NC is one of those bikes you just want to hop on and ride!

Fortunately I have sold my GasGas SM700 Supermoto because I found a '21 NC750X. Hope to go fetch it next week. The sale of the GasGas is just about covering the NC and the FJR that unexpectedly found it's way into my shop. So more NC750X updates should be coming in about 10 days! Hard to remember the last time riding a bike had me so determined to buy one. Usually after a few hours or less of riding a bike I'm done with it, ready to get back on the 890 and call it a day.

I don't ride as much as I used to in the winter months anymore, The city and county road crews around here started using this salt brine mixture on the roads anytime there is a chance of snow or ice. They spread it as a liquid before the expected weather and it dries to a powder. Makes a mess of the roads and really doesn't do much to prevent ice build up. With the crown on the roads, it just gets washed away rather quickly. When I do ride in the winter, I'll take the DR650. I got maybe 500 miles this winter.

That NC750X looks like a nice bike. I'm still regretting not buying a VFR1200X a few years ago when Honda was selling new leftover 2017s for $10,000.

Being from Boston it is a real shocker how much salt they use on the roads here. If a pound will do they use 5. Chance of snow in 3 days use brine tonight. How they get away with it environmentally with Lake Michigan is a mystery. Skip the salt let a few people put their car in the ditch and maybe people will start driving at speeds appropriate for the weather.

From what we've been told, brine is much more environmentally friendly than ordinary salt. They apply it down here about 3 days prior to the "event" also. We don't get anywhere near y'all's temps or as long, but it does seem to reduce the ice buildup.

'21 NC750X. The '21 has many upgrades over the '20. Its a few pounds lighter, has a few more hp, a new dash, is 1/2" lower, and has a good suspension. Picked the bike up noon Friday about 30 minutes north of Charlotte, spent Friday afternoon riding Route 16 through NC and VA and Saturday riding WV mostly Route 52 then to OH and home to WI on Sunday. 1083 miles confirmed this is a really good bike!
