I'm curious to know who has the highest mileage S10. I know they haven't been out very long here in the US so there may not be a lot of high mileage Teneres, but im sure there are a few people who have racked up some miles. So if you think you have the most miles on your Yamaha Super Tenere reply to this post with your mileage and if those miles have been trouble-free or trouble-filled.

Yea, might be Sail2xxs, but someone up on the northeast is in the 70k miles now.

Amazing that Nick put 51k on one in 45 days.

I know I don't have anywhere near the USA Super Tenere with the "most miles" out there. No way. That honor falls to folks like Sail2xxs, EricV, etc.

That said, I've got over 26,000 miles on mine in less than a year-and-a-half and it has been an absolutely *FANTASTIC* motorcycle. Easily in my personal top *TWO* of all the dozens and dozens of bikes I've owned in over 40+ years of riding. I had one small glitch right after I got it - a melted headlamp wiring sub-harness - but that was replaced quickly and efficiently under warranty and I haven't had a *SINGLE* problem since. Not one. The bike has been literally flawless.

Maybe the most dependable, reliable, trouble-free, and worry-free motorcycle I have ever owned. ::008:: ::008:: ::008:: ::008:: ::008::

I've had mine just over 4 months and have put on over 10k trouble free miles. Well, I do have a rear adjuster knob on my S10 that stopped working. But otherwise, no issues at all.

I've had mine 14 months and have over 37,000 trouble free miles. Every time I take it out for a ride I get a big smile on my face.

Yea, so it is Sail2xx that leads the pack.

As far as I'm concerned, his S10 represents! If his keeps ticking like a clock, I'm feeling good about ours too.

He mentioned to me that Yamaha has told him he has the most miles of any Tenere in the world... Respect ! ::008::

Yeah, I play golf and don't ride much, they closed the lockers, so must take the truck. Really miss the commutes, trips don't come soon enough.

I'm at 28,500+.

So i started this post to try and convince myself to buy an S10 with 10k miles. Since i come from sportbikes this seems like a lot of miles to me ( especially for a bike that costs $10.5k). Looks like i should pull the trigger and stop worrying.

Um yeah, we may break a spoke or bend a rim thrashing on these, but not bumping off rev-limiters like alot of knuckleheads riding sport bikes for the 10k lifespan. These bikes are truely made to go well into 200k miles with normal maintenance.

Another myth about sportbikes. There are plenty of Hayabusas running around with north of 150,000 miles on them and a couple I know with 200,000 plus, that have never been apart.. It's the owner, not the engine.

I doubt any non-sponsored person is going to catch or pass Sail2xxs. That guy puts on some miles.

I personally only have about 26K Tenere time, and that's split between two bikes. None of ours have hit 20K yet...soon, very soon.
