HELP !! Turn off flashers?

Sounds very similar to when I was much younger and we'd use a screwdriver blade to short across the posts of the solenoid that was commonly mounted on the passenger side fender under the hood of my dad's various fords.
I didn't say earlier that this happened recently at my dealer when I went to pick it up after having a full on refresh done to it.
When the tech witnessed it, I told him it had happened a couple of other times, but had never done it before I abandoned it in the barn for a year. :
Yea, it sat that long.
He wanted to check it right there and then but I wanted to RIDE. He laughed and surrendered and said "it's good to have your crazy azzz back. I'll fix it for ya if it does it again"
I ordered one today.
