I threw my order in for a heated Corbin. I described exactly the problems I am experiencing. Hopefully they come through. I found my previous Corbin to be very good after broken in on my SV. I am liking the concept that it is always on the bike and ready.

Hope is works out. If the Corbin doesn't get you 100% there, there's always the option of slapping down an AirHawk. ::002::

Side note - the AirHawk has elastic, adjustable straps that hold it to the seat. I used to leave mine on the bike all the time.

If your just getting sore on the bottom, inside of your thighs, that is "monkey butt".
Get yourself some Monkey butt powder, similiar to baby powder and apply to that area before riding. works wonders!

As far as Corbin seats go, I have one on my bike. They pretty much ignore your instructions when you order the seat.
I specifically asked for extra padding in the front, to offset the natural forward lean of the seat, and stop from sliding forward.
When I received the seat, it was identical in shape to the stock seat. I had to send it back for adjustment. I waited about 10 days before calling and asking what the status was.
OH, we will get on it right away was the replay. UGH!!! I have the seat back now, and it is a good seat, don't get me wrong, the quality is good, they have the extra padding almost right. It could use just a bit more, but that is just me. Corbins are great seats, its just a pain getting them to build what YOU want.

I appreciate everyone enjoying their new seats, but without knowing what you found uncomfortable about the stock seat, it might not be relevant to my problem.

I know most people complain about a sore rear section or significant tail bone pain.

I do NOT have that. I have 2 "hot spots" right where the seat ends under my legs.

Did anyone else experience this before swapping seats?

I have the exact same problem. I made an appointment with Don at Mr Ed's Moto in Albany, OR to get my saddle fixed next Wed, May 30th. Don has a great rep around here. We'll see how it goes.

After a 2,800mile trip on the Low seat, enough is enough. Cannot justify the $500 to $700 for a Sargent or Corbin seat that may or may not work. Took apart the stock seat (not the low). Cut out a section of foam and installed a Gel pad from a Butt Buffer. On top of that I installed a 2" thick piece of Memory Foam. I leveled the seat and when the Memory foam compresses when I sit on it I am at the same height as the Low seat, but with more support where it is needed. Have to do a shake down ride now to see if I am on the right track.

What size Butt Buffer did you use? Seems like the P Pad 8x11 would work well.

Were you able to reuse the original seat cover?

Waiting for a report after your shake down ride.... ::017::

Bill Mayer fixed my problem which was loss of feeling in my thighs, monkey butt and my right leg continuously cramping. That was after 3 hours, I would hit the wall. I rode 9 1/2 hours this past Sat. and no problems at all. I was tired but not sore. My right leg did try and cramp on me once at the end but I stood up for 5 seconds at 50 MPH and straightened her out and it went away. The cost was ~$550 + shipping. I shipped it 3 day air and once they got it it got re-done and returned in 2 working days. Best investment I've made on any bike was this seat.

Not sure on the size, I bought it on the trip I was hurting so much. I will measure it and post pics after I do a shake down ride. It fits on the seat without any overlap. Yes I was able to use the original cover.
