Lousy headlights aren't exactly a "it's broken and it doesn't work" situation.

The hard starting also has a solution that doesn't involve a repair and it's rare enough that getting a bike to the dealership that will actually do this on demand is difficult. For the 50,000-ish miles I've put on modern Yamahas, I had it happen once and opening the throttle while cranking cleared it out.

Actually, I'm wondering if just keeping the starter button pressed doesn't fix the hard start. Can't damage the starter since it kicks out upon starting. And keeping the button pressed keeps the motor spinning 'till it catches; 3-4 seconds.

I think it wouldn't hurt to leave the button pressed until I was sure it started.

I am disappointed Harley appears to be roaching another great opportunity. I can not say I am surprised. After spending 20 years on the periphery of their business as a tier supplier I swore I would never buy one of their products. Harley’s goal is to get product out the door. If it is good, awesome but that is not required

Besides, I still think it looks like a refugee from a Cylon casting call…..

confession time…..I have some HD t-shirts but those were given to me by Harley

The Livewire had potential. Dud. The PA had potential. Dud. What's their next "new & exciting" thing? Sport bike maybe?

Just by looking at the HD fuel tank, the lowest part of the tank is almost at the height of the seat, totally the opposite of a modern KTM 1290 that is looking to lower the center of gravity as much as possible, even when designing the tank of. fuel…I think HD was born obsolete

In the same S10, the difference is notable whether driving it with a full tank or with less than half a tank...or with a tank bag and without it....

Actually, it's stunning how stable the bike becomes when you put the gas down low.
On my fjr 1300 when i have a half tank of gas and i throw it through the corners aggressivley the gas will slosh left and right and make the bike wiggle coming out of the corners. I dont feel that much if any on my super T but I can see a huge advantage of having that gas lower

Lower center of gravity is a huge advantage on any motorcycle, I was quite surprised when the Super Tenere came out that Yamaha engineers seemed to mostly ignore that fact.

She handles so well, I don't feel any top heaviness. And it could be that I've become numb to any bikes being top heavy due to my top heaviness.

EDIT: My weight is over 50% of her weight.

You can always use the t-shirts as shop towels or for cleaning the Super T.
