Pulled the plug on a set of GIVI Outback Bags. Decided to go with a pair of 47L. Motostorm.it states bags and liners are "in stock" with shipping in 24hr of order. I will keep yall posted on the progress of the order. ::015::

Sweet! I also have my eyes on that setup, I'm still not in love with the caribou setup I have now!

Be sure to post a total width measurement once they are installed.

Be careful when ordering from them and using FedEx. You'll be shocked with a bill from FedEx for the tariffs/duties. This can be fought and hopefully Motostorm used appropriate shipping code for the product so you don't deal with this headache. I gave up fighting and caved in and paid $60+ on a goods totaling ~$450 from them.

Aluminum cases are exempt, plastic ones are not exempt from tariffs. You will win if fedex sends a bill.

What was the total shipped?
I ordered
2-48l Black Outback Bags
2-Lid nets
2-Waterproof inner bags
2-Reflective Stickers
4-tie down straps

Total $747

Order was placed on 7-13 and as of 7-16 items have not shipped yet. The motostorm web site stated all items would ship in "24 hours". No big deal. I sent them an email tonight for a shipping status.

I hope you had them shipped through DHL. If not, then don't be surprised if you get a customs bill in several weeks.

Review this post http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/givi-trekker-outback-37l-panniers-cases-review-long-book-version.998276/

Lots of info regarding tariffs. There are no tariff charges for Motorcycle Accessories, keyword being Accessories. Plastic or metal doesnt matter. If you get charged it is easy to fight with Fedex. Just fax in a form with a copy of the tariff schedule and point it out to them that they cannot collect on it. I have ordered Outback cases, the Givi 35L waterproof liners, and the racks with no duty fees.

Although one can save big time using Motostorm, email them first to see if their items are in stock. The 24 hour shipping icons on their site doesn't mean shit. Give it two weeks to be safe. Once shipped it takes 6-7 business days but usually takes motostorm 5 days to acknowledge your order if you dont contact them first. If they have to get the items from their supplier, expect 3 weeks plus shipping. Price to pay for saving 50% over local. I wouldn't expect warranty coverage to transfer either so consider it like buying second hand.

Great info thanks.

I emailed Motostorm.it today and I was informed the order will ship Monday via FedEx.

Wow really? I would have said none of your business and the shipment is declared on the customs form.

I just received by $0.00 balance due customs form from FedEx. Soft luggage and a metal top case rack. No calls or anything.

Mine left Italy on the 16th and arrived today in Oregon on the 21st. Pretty incredible for $33 shipping.

Thanks, I'm seeing and Exta EU price without the VA tax. Is that the price I should expect? If so that converts to less than $300 before shipping! What's the best mounting rack for this, the one GiVi makes?
