Hey all,

I got my tank bag and ring in today. Only took a month at my local dealer. Someone tell me if $222 Canadian is a good price for the Givi xs308.

I got it home and installed it in about 3 miliseconds haha!

Thanks all for the input and steering me clear of the xs307.

Tenerester did you get my pm?
That's the price I paid for my XS308 bag. The tank ring cost an additional C$20. If you paid $222 for both, then you got yourself a good deal! ::008::

Yes, I got your PM and replied today.

here's a picture of her. With the tank bag installed. Rode about 100km today as spring is just arriving and roads are still a bit dirty and gravely. So far got just over 200km on the bike and it's amazing! Gonna be a good summer.

Does the bag hit the fuel tank? Is there a difference when the tank bag is loaded down with goodies or empty as far as how close it is to the tank or does it rest on the tank all the time...or not at all. Thanks

Hey there. The bag does NOT touch the tank at all. There is a tank ring that you install also made by givi. You'd have to have it pretty darn loaded for it to touch the tank. The bottom is pretty solid so it's not very flexible. There is always a gap I'd say about 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch between the tank and bag.

I actually have had the same Givi tank bag for a couple of years now and while I like it, it does touch the tank when loaded up and you ride. Now I ride a dirty bike (it's a "dirt bike" after all) so it never bothered me that the matte grey tank is a little scuffed where the tank bag touched, but it does do so.
A few other issued I see with the bag
- It's one big cavity with no separators - I wish they had compartmentalized it
- Ir's not waterproof. When it pours, use the cover
- If you use it with the detachable side pouches (which are useful but I wish they were just part of the bag), and and I turn the handlebar hard left, I activate the main Cruise control switch (but I have risers so this may not happen with stock bar setup)

However, the ring lock is rock solid even on dirt. I do secure it with the strap but mainly so I can drop it to the side when refueling.

I appreciate the responses. I have a Wolfman on the KLR and it has did a number on the tank. Although I like having a tank bag, I really dislike what that one has done to the tank. I suspected when the Givi was loaded it may touch, but I also thought there may be enough adjustment with the mounting holes for the bag. I have already had the S10 on some fireroads/trails so it will not be a highway queen, but I also want to avoid damage that can be prevented.
