Hi Couzin,

I have a Givi XS307 tank bag and I have to say it doesn't fit very well on top of the ST's hump of a petrol tank. As the base of the bag is flat the bag sits perched above the tank like a tray on a pumpkin (ok, thats an exaggeration but you know what I mean). I'm selling my XS307 and am going to get the XS308. It costs a little more but the contoured base is better suited to the ST's tank. In either case I can confirm that the Givi bag is top quality, and the connection to the tank ring is excellent. On the Givi website The tank ring for the ST up to 2016 is BF05, I've no reason to think that the 2017 ST is any different, I suspect the Givi website is just a little out of date

Regards

Hey all I am looking at the Givi Tank bag heres a link to it.

I cannot seem to find the correct part number for the tank ring that fits the 2017 Tenere. Heres a link for the Ring.

If anyone knows what one fits our bike it would be great.y

Thanks.
I have the Givi XS308 installed with ring part no. BF05 on my 2014 S10 ES. It aligns perfectly with the shape of the tank and it's the ideal size bag for long trips. I believe the tank is the same on all S10 models.

Would you happen to have a picture of the bag on your bike? How do you like the bag? Any issues reading the gauges or turning the steering full?

Thanks

well that website is not really helpful... numbers with no relationship to actual rides...

the Givi Tanklock is the best system. No paint scratches. Adjustable forward and back, so no issues with gauges nor handlebars...
the flange ring is the same across all Super Tenere years AND is the same as the Yamaha FJR...

excellent choice.....

Will try to post picture soon. The bag is awesome. The best on-off mechanism I've ever seen. You just place the bag on the ring and a slight twist the bag locks in. Similarly, your press the red tab under the bag and it comes right off effortlessly.
Its spacious and expandable. It comes with a rain cover, map holder, iPad holder, etc. Three zipped pockets outside the bag are attached to a detachable belt which can be worn around your waste. The tank bag can also be carried like a backpack.
I am only 5'6" and the bag still, doesn't obstruct the view of the instrument cluster nor does it intefere with the steering.
Looks cool too.

Yes. You have to remove the base plate (optional luggage carrier) under the passenger seat, measure and drill four holes, bolt the gas can mount (you will need to buy four bolts/nuts. The u-clamps that come with the mount can be used only if you aren't installing the can on a bar), re-assemble the passenger seat base plate. When measuring, make sure the gas can rests flat on the four existing rubber pads on the plate.

BTW, since you were enquiring about GPS set ups, you can check out my gps set up in the pics as well. It's a Garmin car GPS, but has served me well in the past 3 years (almost 50,000 kms) including cross country trips (US & Canada) and through several storms. Still gong strong.

I saw the Garmin in the pics. I think I'm just going to ride old school and use maps. Trying to get a little more adventurous. I'll just keep maps in my new bags that's in the mail. Haha. I am really interested in the gas tank though.

Yes, they don't ship to Canada. I got it delivered to a US address and picked it up myself. I live about 20 kms away from the border. If you need help, PM me.

Hey all,

I got my tank bag and ring in today. Only took a month at my local dealer. Someone tell me if $222 Canadian is a good price for the Givi xs308.

I got it home and installed it in about 3 miliseconds haha!

Thanks all for the input and steering me clear of the xs307.

Tenerester did you get my pm?

Bought my 13 Tenere used and it came with a Givi locking tank bag , it doesn't seem to exactly match any of Givi tankbag pictures shown on Revzilla but I like it very well, the map pouch leaks every time it rains is about my only complaint, I love the tank lock system !
