For you fellow riders who do their own maintenance and repair, here's something you might want to take a look at:

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?p=16262674#post16262674

I just got one from Grok. Haven't gotten a chance to get to use it yet as all my dual-throttle body twins are currently synched on the money. However, I must say, when you pull the "Harmonizer" out of the box and play around with it you can't help but be impressed. I've used a TwinMax on twins since '04 and vacuum gauges before that (still use a set of my old factory Honda Special Tool gauges on fours...), and I can honestly say this... At least on appearance, quality fit and finish, high-grade materials, and ease of use...

Comparing the Harmonizer to the TwinMax is like comparing Glenmorangie Single Malt whisky to Highland Mist...

I can't wait to give it a try, and my Ducati Hypermotard is coming due in a couple of thousand miles.

Just FYI...

Hopefully very soon Mark and I will be using the Harmonizer to balance the TBs on my XTZ. Will try and take as many photos as possible.

How is this thing working? Anyone who has bobught it lets hear some feed back and see pictures of it. How many cylinders can it do at once?

Read the advrider thread. There's a video at the beginning. It's a differential tool (like the TwinMax), where you zero the difference between two cylinders, so probably not a good choice if you want to do fours.

I read the topic and watched the vid, but do not understand how it measures the difference when it is connected to only one carb... Or did I get that wrong? The impression I get is that it is only connected to one carb at a time?

There is a balance mode and a gauge mode. He was showing it in gauge mode on the video. When balancing, you hook up two tubes, one to each port.

Thanks SpeedStar! ::008:: That makes sense to me.

I'll wait for some experience reports from XT1200Z owners before I order mine. Looks like a great tool! ::012::

I couldn't control my urge to sync the TBS so ordered mine a minute ago! ::015::

Yes, it does look good. I ordered mine this morning to replace my homemade unit. I will let you know when I try it.

I read the thread and watched the vid. I was confused with how it synced also since only one hose looked to be hooked up. Thanks speedstar

When some one gets it it would be cool to see it in action a little more and see how it is hooked up

I was lucky enough to have my Harmonizer delivered to driveway by Mark. We spent the afternoon installing the pigtails and balancing the throttle bodies. Mark was surprised when I offered him a ride on the Super Tenere. He was impressed after a 30 minute experience in a flat town with traffic. Wait until experiences the XTZ in the mountains. Mark owns a very nice 1100 GS and now has a Super Tenere to consider.

I bought a Harmonizer. It works great! It took about a minute to sync my throttle bodies after doing the air screw mod. It took me longer to hook up the bleeder lines than it did to do the sync. Super easy. No cussing involved.

Bonus, Grok/Mark still sold it to me for the introductory price. It was $120 including shipping.
