Ah, I was pretty sure Barneys and Cahills locally didn't have one in stock. I'm heading to North Georgia and NC in late May...can't wait!

I'll be in Central Florida for a couple of weeks on business. Could anybody suggest a good ride with my S10.
Thanks
I noted in another thread that you’re going to be in Sanford? That sets you up for some nice Florida riding areas.

Here’s one full day of adventuring: About 25 miles west of Sanford is Lake Apopka and on the west side of the lake is the famous Sugarloaf Mountain which is a great ride. Here’s a Link to a partial loop, but let me play around with it a little for you because it doesn’t do the mountain very well. Then, from Sugarloaf you’re less than 20 miles (due south-west) from the start of the Green Swamp Loop in Center Hill. You will love this loop as it offers about the best we have here in Flatistan all in one loop. We just did this ride on the FGT a couple weeks ago. It’s all paved, but some is on the under-improved side, add in a lot of twisties and uncharacteristic elevations. If you feel the need to get dirty the best place to enter the forest on the S10 is the north west corner, above SR50. Here’s a Map of the interior from my jeep club site. These are all dirt and sand forest roads…lots of sand.

Another must ride for you is Ocala National Forest. The south eastern tip of ONF is about 20-25 miles directly north of Sanford. Unlike the Green Swamp interior, ONF is riddled with paved roads…some better than others, and you’ll run into some of those pavement ends signs. Anyway, you would be inside the forest on this trek. It’s a great place to explore, but at the end of the day it’s one enormous forest…one part of it looks like any other part of it and there’s not much out there in the way of gas stations and places to eat, so plan accordingly.

Hope that helps. I’ll get back with the Sugarloaf loop. You can’t fly straight through there; rather it’s more like a figure eight that isn’t on that link above.

Just got a thought from another thread...St. Augustine...about an hour and a half north-east from Sanford on the coast. It's one of the oldest cities in the U.S.; might be the oldest. Super nice place.

I'm just north of you in PH. Perhaps we'll share a ride sometime.

That’s a cool set up ^^ you have there for the bicycle. I have an older model Specialized Hardrock and my son and I ride both bicycles and motorcycles. Maybe we should rig something up like that on our motorcycles.

Just a reminder...

I keep a list of Florida members updated in the first post of this thread based on what I see around the forum. If I've missed anyone or need to make changes, let me know. :)

Any of you guys ever ride the gravel roads in Merritt Island wildlife refuge in Titusville?
There are lots of very scenic single lane gravel roads overlooking the space center, launch pads, indian river lagoon, etc..
some good morning riding with waterfront breakfast at Goodrich seafood company in Oakhill

Whoa!!! There are non-asphalt roads in Florida that aren't pure sugar-sand? Buddy - I am there!
