I was thinking I'd put a bit of aluminum sheet for backing inside the case, and use the rotopax standard mount with it's backing plate outside. I think the dimensions of the 1 G fit under the Odyssey, IIRC. I measured last week but will double check. The Odysseys seem to me to mount high and have lots of clearance. Not sure what 3" under them will do, but my gut feel is no worries. I don't think they would even be likely to contact the ground in a tipover or slide. My only concern with this idea is damage to the rotopax from rocks or debris coming up off the road. But it seems several GS riders have been doing it.dcstrom said:Twisties - not sure how you will go mounting the Rotopax on the bottom of the Jesses - they would need to be well tucked in for cornering clearance, but then how much space to you have before they interfere with the wheel/swing arm?
Taking another tack - the Touratech jugs look reasonably priced (for once $17) and I like the dimensions, but then they want $50 for a mounting plate. Anyone with other ideas for mounting?
