I think to answer your question about the topic deviating has to do with a group buy not saving anyone money. Group buys are exactly that. A way in which multiple people create buying power by consolidating their order into one purchase at a better discount than where you could buy it anywhere else. If you could just go online and buy the same pipe for less, where is the benefit.fjrden said:Can I just thank all for input. Why have there been deviations from original Akra Topic? It has put me off I am sorry. I intend biting bullet and purchase anyway locally. As I say thank you for starting thread.

Yea, I agree its not earth moving.. I could go into a long 'business' explanation but I will spare everyone... Akrapovic doesn't like to put the deals together period.scott123007 said:I think to answer your question about the topic deviating has to do with a group buy not saving anyone money. For sure.. not personal... Yea, the pricing is controlled 100% by Akra.. Working on Christmas group buys.. Might have a few special coming the forums way.... ::008::MikeBear said:Jaxon, please in no way take anything said here in your corner. Everybody here, and that includes me, have upmost respect for you and your business and appreciate everything you do here in providing great service.
If Akrapovic doesn't like to sell their product, that is just fine. They can take those slip-ons and slip them in... Lets skip profanity.
Many companies act as if they are doing you a favor by taking your money. That is why I didn't get BMW. That is why I will never buy those panniers, that I was very interested in.
The only reason I got that $500 jacket it's because it was on sale for $192.
I was honestly expecting price to be on par with LeoVince, which is $550... Oh well.

I wanted to chime in on this because I think the pissing and moaning about the price is a two part problem. The first part is that there are always people who want others to think they are big rollers and that they are going to spend some large about of money doing this or that blah blah blah...yeah, they have no intention but will let the person know that they are charging too much or that they can get a better deal somewhere else. We get them all the time at the shop. Second, everyone wants the best but few are willing to pay for it. The parts don't have that much margin. The Yamaha dealer that I work with through the shop I work at would give us a price of $826, I would get a better deal in the $7xx( I don't remember what he said exactly), and their price through Parts Unlimited is so close to the "Walmart" that they would never, and I want to make this clear, NEVER sell these. I told him the situation and he said he would be giving them away at "Walmart's" price and that our group deal is ridiculously low and that the person running it couldn't be making much. He said he honestly didn't know how we could be doing a group buy at $699. Now, I can get a two bro's exhaust for much less. Hell, I can construct my own, I have done it multiple times. I would rather have an exhaust that I don't have to think about, don't have to work on, don't have to repair. If you want an Akrapovic for free, make one from card board and write akra on it.
What most people want is to get what they pay for and not pay boutique prices for average products.creggur said:^^This^^ ::012:: ::026:: ::012:: ::026:: ::012:: ::026:: ::012::
Don't like Walmart, nor the Walmart affect in any business. Everybody wants the lowest price, top-drawer service, and perfect quality - most aren't wiling to pay for it. Then there's endless wailing and gnashing of teeth about the one that's missing (especially on the internet).
