Reading some threads over at ADV, it is a shame at the shortsightedness/selfishness of some of the folks who ordered a Tenere. A delay of a month or two is causing some to jump ship. I would go put another couple grand down if I knew it would help.
Kinda sad when all some are worried about........................
:(

I'm in for the long haul. I have a plan ... buy all kinds of expensive farkles, and then I'll have no choice but to get the bike ... whenever.

It will be painful to load up on all that nice stuff, but sometimes a guy has to make sacrifices. R

Yep, it has happened to me! I have an entire shelf full of farkles in my stable, all ready to be mounted on my SuperT whenever it arrives!!!

That's the sprit. I have the Micatech panniers on order, and I'm gonna go ahead with the Altrider crash bars (does ANTI-crash bar sound better ?) and skid plate. I figure by that time, I'm locked in. Might even give me a good excuse to get more farkles than I had originally planned. Makes perfect sense to me. Might even make sense to the wife .... maybe. R

I'll be here with open arms when they are ready and arrive. Take your time and get your country taken care of Yamaha. A motorcycle is a thing, people are what is important right now.

After all that has happened, 4 days closure? Amazing!

I've seen closures longer than that because tea and coffee wasn't supplied free.

Amazing difference in work ethic between here and there.

The front page of the paper yesterday had a picture of the power plant leadership with their heads hanging low, "apologizing" for their failures. If that were over here it would be a bunch of suits talking in circles and pointing fingers.

Agree! Right now, the health and welfare of the Japanese is much more important than temporary plant closings.

I'm in no hurry here. Whenever they ship is fine with me, but I haven't farkled up either. I'll let you guys keep the vendors in business. Never know, Santa might be delivering my Tenere ??? and I won't need farkling 'til spring (2012)

What a culture they have over there. Strong and resolute, who wouldn't want a bike built by those folks. Wish them all the best!
