Can these be purchased in Europe yet? I will have to look for the part numbers. I want to make some into either yellow, or red with white outlines. I would have someone copy them at a local sign shop and go from there.
I was going to suggest you could have some made up, in the UK there are loads of companies that will make up anything you want, back when I was in to 4 wheels some guys had some really nice work done, just about finding the right place, to answer your question I have not herd anything about them being on sale yet. I see were your going though could look really smart.HoebSTer said:Can these be purchased in Europe yet? I will have to look for the part numbers. Swagger has the bike so could prob help with dimensions if that helps. Ask nice now...HoebSTer said:mortiis,
i know almost anyplace can make them up. I just don't have the exact dimentions to work with. As i have seen, they are narrow up front, then get a little wider in middle and rear. So i have nothing to go by here yet.
Doh! those things are curved, tapered, all different different sized blocks. I'll get something that a clever dude may be able to work with. :MortiisMachine said:... Swagger has the bike so could prob help with dimensions if that helps. Ask nice now...

I just ordered a Super Tenere tank pad from Allfords thru their ebay ad. I asked them if they had the Yamaha block decals and they replied that they didn't have them.Chadx said:HoebSTer,
Try Yamaha part numbers 23P-28393-00 and 23P-28394-00.
Some have already ordered and received them from Alford Bros in Folkestone, Kent, UK http://www.alfordbros.co.uk/ so they are probably available from many sources now.
Stevepsd, from ADVrider, said they cost 14 UK Pounds each (around $24) from the above listed source, so not too bad. Sometimes Yamaha is quite proud of their decals. For the WRR, the side shroud sticker costs more than the shroud itself.HoebSTer said:thanks chadx I will look into it and see how much it is.
What are you going to use for a pattern? Can you just take a picture of a bike with those stripes?hANNAbONE said:go to a local sign shop and have them do it in "reflective" blocks...
that's what I'm gonna do.
It'll cost all of $20.00

Since yours is a USA ordered unit, it will not have the stripes, nor will it have the silver side panels. I am a fan of each of those items and intend to fit them to mine when it gets here.Grunt58 said:I am not a fan of the stripes. If my S10 has them....I'm going to be removing them as soon as I can.
They're decals applied directly to the paintwork. They rarely do it properly these daysChadx said:..... can any current owner tell me how the yellow Super Ténéré decals are affixed on the bike? Are they top-layer decals? Or, less likely, are they decals with clear coat over the top?

I believe they just go straight on to the top layer, same as your safety stickers all over the tank, hair dryer, patience, good polish, job done..Swagger said:They're decals applied directly to the paintwork.
