::004:: from Oklahoma! I do believe that there have been other write ups on the TKC 70 tire. It is searchable.

Let me/us know if there is more info needed and I'll try and help.
I am still loving mine.

In the above link, my detailed review is included.

Having a set installed today. Hope to put them to the test when the weather cooperates.
I'd be thrilled if I got that many miles. The OEM tire on my S10 only lasted 5K miles before it became unsafe to ride in the rain.

I'm loving this tire more all the time!!!

I lowered the front by 2 psi and it made all the difference in the world. Great feel and feedback with confidence inspiring handling in the twistier sections.

I had the chance to do an unmaintained dirt road with them and they do exceptionally well. They hook up well on hard pack and in moderately looser soil with good predictability all around. I did this at street pressures of 36/42. Airing down should improve the smoothness with the feedback.

Did a 350 mile jaunt yesterday and have to say that I am probably going to make this my tire of choice from here on out. I am swapping them back to TKC-80s on Tuesday as I leave for Death Valley Thursday morning for my annual all dirt day. When I come back from this the 70s will be spooned back on.

From where they are now with about 1700 miles on them I would say the rear will go 8000 miles and the front a bit more. I'll keep posting on life and wear as I move along once they are back on.

Two thumbs up for this tire!

Thanks for your excellent reports., from which I have now conducted surveys and it is clear to me that the TKC 70 is the way to go once my OEM tyres become due for replacement.

One question do you ride solo or maybe 2 up and what difference to the tyres performance does a pillion make

Thanks :)

My bike is set up for solo riding only. I LOVE two up but chose to deliberately create my S10 as a one up bike.

As it relates to a tire for one or the other, one up or two up, it is predicated on the load capability of the tire, first, and proper pressure for the load, second. The resultant ride is then incumbent upon a properly sorted suspension. And I am as black and white as they come about suspension! It is either properly done after you purchase a bike or it is wrong. Unless you are less than 180 pounds COMBINED weight your ride will never be what it could or should be and handling will suffer. Additionally, since your pillion rides behind you it actually adds weight to the rear, behind the "pivot point", as it were, and will exacerbate any suspension short comings.

Hope this helps.

Good point 911 and thanks for your response.

I mainly ride solo and have my suspension set accordingly (its a ZE with electronic suspension) I only make the 'standard ' adjustment when my pillion is on board i.e change the setting to two up and its fine for our needs... as yet there hasn't been any complaints from behind :D

Have not experienced any cupping. Just pulled mine off and they look absolutely perfect. Pulled off = put new set of TKC80s on for Death Valley this weekend. I'll pit the 70s back on in a few weeks.

Let me see if I can get a pic posted of my set for comparison.

Let's try this....2000 miles. No aggressive riding. Mostly smell the roses riding with some twisties and dirt thrown in. Very atypical for me but that's my current reality with work and training and school.

I know the TKC70's are a chunky tyre but they look like slicks compared to the 80's ! From the picture it looks like they've only got a bit dusty not worn with 1700 miles on them, impressive. These will be my next tyre, great reviews all along '911 ::008::
