Cash Back Coupon Update....

My dealer came through once again. You folks may remember the coupon thread that went on for a bit here. Well it came time to cash mine in and when I did Yamaha rejected it because there was another owner listed on my bike. I was one of the few that took someone’s place that dropped out of the PDP. This week my dealer was told by Yamaha that only the original person that ordered the bike was eligible for the cash so my dealer offered me the 200 cash or 200 store credit since he feels it was his doing that the names didn't get changed. I thought that was pretty good of him to do that. He has done lots of other little things to make this deal one of my smoothest and I'm very pleased with the entire process. Just wanted to share with the group.

Excellent customer oriented dealer! You would do him a favour back if you used the US$ 200,- as store credit, that way your dealer is compensated since it only is his purchase price that he gives away instead of the whole US$ 200,-...

I did it online and saved my receipt etc. and have yet to receive the check. I keep checking the mailbox though.... :-\

I attended 3 demos this year and never saw or heard about the coupon. Clearly telling the promoters that I had a bike on order was a mistake.

They were also passing them ut at the Yamaha tent at the Indy Moto GP. Well, maybe not exactly passing them out, but they had a setup with one of Lorenzo's bikes that you could sit on and they would take your pictrue. They then handed you a 3 part foldup thing with your pic in it. When I got home, I saw that part 3 of that foldup was the $200 coupon.

I picked up a coupon this past weekend at a dealer demo. Submitted it Saturday night. Yes they had a black S10 for demo and it was a hot ticket all day. Had no problem getting a coupon, truck driver handed it too me.

Submitted rebate request 9/19/2011...said it was sucessful submission, but no check received to date. My dealer screwed up my warranty registration...actually got 2 extra months no charge due to his mistake, so such may have messed with the factory rebate. We'll see.
