Hey Jim, do you expect to get rolling around 9am on Saturday again on this ride?

IF I'm at a place where I think I can take next Saturday off, I'm thinking I could ride to Romney Friday evening after work, stay there, then meet you guys early on Saturday at the campground. Ride for most of the day, then head back home that evening (and back to work on Sunday).

I'll give that about 50/50 right now.

Yep, Routemeister Chuck declared adv pig kickstands up at 9:00 a.m. Sat morning. No clue about the route. Just as well bring your tent and ride another 30 minutes past Romney. I'm sure someone has a single site to share. Hope you can make it either way Jon.

I had hoped to make it, but work is getting in the way. I'll try again next time. Hope you guys have a good time. Please pass along my regard to everyone.

Spklbuck, thanks again for a great weekend, Us NE Ohio guys don't get to WV as much as we would like, keep us in mind when planning another get together....as a side note, on the way home on 250 northbound, pouring rain, new shiny asphalt, TKC 80's.......lost the front tire in a left sweeper at the apex then the rear decides to let go miliiseconds later. Jay Springsteen could'nt have flat tracked that corner better than me....my left boot slid perfectly, ended up in the gravel at about 45mph....saved it though...I need a new seat after sucking the cover off it....whew! the 2 guys behind me laughed all the way home.

wuzfast, I'm glad you guys could make it. Great weather (mostly) and good times! Largest group we've had at JR Lake. I bet those folks are glad we're gone. ;D

Glad you were able to save your bacon...sounds like a close call.

A fall weekend ride may well be in the works.

Hi Jim,
A very big thank you for the great time I had. There would be no way in hell that I could have experienced the roads you, Chuck and Allen showed me. And they were great roads from the dirt to the pavement to the water crossings, I loved it all. Called an audible on Sun. morning after I got to Mt. Storm, it was raining hard and the fog was so thick you couldn’t see so I decided to shoot straight north and ran 220 all the way to State College, Pa. Was out of the rain by 9:00 AM and the rest of the ride home was perfect.
Again thank you, Chuck and Allen,
Norm

Glad you could join us Norm and good to hear that you escaped the rain and fog. I am going to steal the Sods pic! You gotta come back and we will run some more good stuff.

Check your PMs.

Is Chuck still leading people into water crossings? I won't soon forget the last one he lead me into. That man like water.

Good to hear you all enjoyed it. Wish I could have joined you. I blew you guys off to spend some quality time at work this weekend. Maybe next time.
