Camp-n-ride Jennings Randolph Lake Aug 16-19 is a GO!

Change of venue due to Boyer Station being closed.

When: Aug 16-19

Where: Jennings Randolph Lake near Keyser, WV

What: Camp-n-ride w/ 2 riding groups likely FJR crew and Adv Pig Crew. Routemeister Chuck, a local boy, will be leading the Adv Pigs.

So sayeth Chuck...

So Aug. 17 & 18th at JR Lake is a go.

If you would let every one else know, I am planning a back road trip so far I have 100 miles at around 5 hours with 4 or 5 dirt roads.

Heck yeah we have plenty of room for everyone. I'm fairly certain the route(s) will be within the bounds of what Anakees can handle. The fellow in the lead will be riding a Wee-Strom with similar tread. No one is looking to get in over our heads.

The Plan: I will likely go up a day or two early and ride if anyone wants to join in. A simple group meal (deli food) for Fri evening. Group breakfast @ 7:30 on Sat morning...bacon, eggs and taters served up by Routemeister Chuck and yours truly (I'll tell him he just volunteered later!). Ride of your choice, either paved w/ FJRs or backroads w/ Adv Pigs. Group feed of some description on Sat evening. Campground departure on Sunday morning (yes, I screwed up the dates in the original post).

All are welcome!

Hi Jim,
Thanks for the info, answered all my questions. I won't know until 1st or 2nd week of July if I can make it. At this point what I needed to have happen has happened today so full speed ahead. I work a Fri., Sat. and Sun. schedule so my actual vacation time is that w/e so I have the 4 days before and the 4 days after as my normal time off. If anyone else from the NE area are planning on attending I'll probably head out on Wed., spending Wed.'s night somewhere in the Catskills and in a motel (just makes getting moving the next morning much easier) and make the campground on Thu. and join Jim for a ride on Fri. before the rest of the crew shows up.

Booked my reservation today, I'll be on site #87 arriving probably late on Thurs. and leaving on Sun. morning. Looking forward to meeting new friends and riding NEW roads. ::012:: I'll be leaving Ma. on Wed. morning, taking my time heading through southern NH and Vt. then down through the Catskills, spending Wed. night at the Margaretville Motel in Margaretville, NY. Same motel on the return trip if anyone wants to meet up with me along the way.
