Making our way up the west side, slowly. Wife not feeling great. Allergies cut our asses near Seattle. Bad.

In Smithers, tonight. Hyder and then dease lake tomorrow. Last few hundred miles were sort of boring. Smithers is not. Gorgeous. Saw a few bears and deer today.

Some pics.

In Whitehorse. Got up close and personal with several bears today including a sow with her cubs.

Always in high speed mode. No time. Just sitting here debating how far we will go tomorrow. It's 10:40 pm and it looks like 5:00pm in the south. One of these days, I hope to have time to slow down and enjoy these places. Right now, I'm trying to see it all.

Ah, too bad. Seems like that takes some of the enjoyment out of a trip, not being able to tip a beer with fellow riders when possible.

Enjoying your photos and can understand you trying to see as much as possible. So many things so far apart.

BTW bears can run 30 MPH and can be at full speed in a very short distance. A parent bear is predictably unpredictable. I was in your area in 2009 and the hungry bears were just coming out of hibernation.

We were never off the bike and never out of gear for bear photos. Most times, we had to make noise to make them look at us. The sow with the cubs kept a close eye in her babies. When her cub got between us, we moved on. The others were literally laying in fields of dandelions. Word to the wise- don't pitch your tent in a sunny field of dandelions in early bear season.

Btw, is 20.5 a good setting for the a/c in my room? The metric system is tough on a redneck from southern public schools.

This damn bridge was something. 2 up, heavily loaded, raining. It's entirely a steel deck.

Nice pictures Bloodline. I take it you dug that beast out of your helmet vent. Tenere looks right at home for 2 up camping. Only way to slow down is to be retired. "I ain't got time for that" One of these days.

Great pictures bloodline, headed for Alaska myself July 1st. Unlike you I've got loads of time since retiring. Hope to visit with fellow Tenere owners along the way.

Road from Whitehorse up to the border is something else. Had to stand up for a while. Huge g outs. Talked to a guy on a cruiser and he said he was in 2nd gear. I think I dropped to 5th a time or two...

S10 for the win.

Got within 10-15 feet of this guy today- my heart was pounding for 15 minutes.
