Wish I had time to enjoy it, but I don't.

Setting off today on a marathon trek from charleston, SC to San fran. I can't leave for another couple of hours. I intend to ride until i freeze tonight followed by a pair of 1000 mile days. I should be there for dinner on Thursday. Leaving the bike in California and flying home. Gonna miss her for the spring, for sure. Going back to california in June and riding 2 up to alaska. Woohoo!

Wave if you see a blue S10 on I10 heading west!

I'm in Folsom, CA and am available for anything you might need.
If you're paying for storing the bike, cancel it. Store it in my garage for free for as long as you like. Spare bedroom is ready to go as is the kitchen.

Thanks firefight! I recall meeting you in green river. My old man is in Tracy. Leaving it with him.

I made middle Louisiana after leaving charleston at 13:30. Cold!

Rolling out now.

Wishing you dry roads and above average temps. Big run for this time of year I'm never lucky on timing weather. I would have been in the ice storm Dallas just had. Stay safe and watch for crazies(holiday drunks)

Hey bloodline, That's a kickass trek you got goin there mate, I've only done 850 mile/13 hr days, it's a haul, hope you have some tunes to help rock away the miles. ::013:: Be prudent and stop/rest if you have to. I've slept well for even an hour on a table at a rest stop. ;) ::019:: ::26::

The cold and snow and rain have all come and gone and come back again here, all w/in hours of each other. Keep track of the temp/conditions.
Be well, stay safe, but at the same time Enjoy the ride. ::003:: ::012:: ::008::

Traveling Mercies as we say.

Cheers, dean ::001::

Thanks guys. Taking a break just outside San Antonio. Temps in the 30's for several hours today. It took a lot out of me. I haven't been warm since 0600.

I'm staring at an overall avg speed for today of 63.1, at this point. Not too great. I've got to pick up the pace a bit.

Just discovered the vents were open on the back of my legs. Explains some of the cold air I felt on my legs..,

Sheesh.

There is a large area of high pressure over the southwest. Warmer daytime temps ahead...

If you need anything as you pass through So Cal let me know.

Check your oil level. Extended long high speed runs tend to consume a few ounces.

You should be there at midnight. I hate LA traffic so much I would have taken I-40 / 58.
