Wanted to provide an update on this issue. I ordered the header from Solomotoparts for a good deal on Jan 17th. I still don't have the header, but it's not Solomotoparts fault. I got this email from Arrow, via Solomotoparts. TL;DR, they have a backorder of 200+exhausts since Christmas. Curious to see if any other Arrow dealers have actually been able to fulfill a order since December.

Hi Mike,

We had expected to receive the order this week as we have a little over 200 exhausts that will catch us up on all back orders. I do not expect the order until next Wednesday/Thursday time frame. This one is our fault Mike and I am very sorry, we had expected the order this week. In the last 60 days there have been several issues that have negatively impacted us in a very short time frame. While many of these were out of our control, as the business owner, I do not want to make excuses as they do not help you and I take ownership of the blame. If a written document that you can send out to your customers will help, I will explain that these are our importing issue and the problem is with us not SoloMotoParts. I am happy to provide this and can assure you I am working tirelessly to correct these issues. I expect all importing to return to full speed by next week and I am hoping we can put this chapter behind us as it has been costly both financially and in customer confidence. I apologize for any heartache this has caused you or your company."

The Arrow Exhaust I ordered back around January 9th still has not arrived to me, they must have serious back orders! The company I ordered from did say that a pallet of exhausts from Arrow arrived this week and I should be able to get mine hopefully today or tomorrow. It's been a LONG wait!

Actually, even when you first start it every ride. I've always described it as a snarl.

I was told that, normally, ordering Arrow exhausts is about a 2 week order window for the importer to get them from Italy. I ordered my titanium exhaust January 5 and it was finally on my porch today. This last big order from Italy was held up in Customs with some paperwork issues.

It's absolutely worth the wait, a thing of beauty it is, nice welds, great carbon fiber hanger brackets, very sturdy stainless steel hanger bracket, just a very solid setup.

Looks great but this thread was regarding the header not the silencer. But i would agree with the "it's worth the wait".

I can plainly read the thread title, I had my glasses on and everything. My post primarily addressed the most recent posts by Defeckticon and RicoChet as to the reason their orders had not been fulfilled yet, but hopefully would, soon, since their headers and my silencer were all on this most recent shipment from Italy that was hung up coming in to the country. Carry on..

Cool, but the backorder is for the headers as I understand it. I have the Akropovic and I love it.

I was considering buying the headers as well, but a moment of fiscal responsibility overtook me and I said I would get them later in the year. Arrow pretty much makes their product to order and as I understand it, the US importer ordered headers and canisters in this last shipment that finally landed. If that's accurate, you should see your headers soon.

Prior to the customs problems they're having now, typical order to delivery was two weeks. I knew that going in, which is why I ordered in January so I could have my bike ready for spring as I have a bunch of other things I'm doing to the bike this winter. We've had a rash of 70 degree weather in February here in the midatlantic which has me wanting to get on the bike. Now I'm getting impatient.

Well I finally got my Arrow parts yesterday, what a crazy few months its been! I ordered back in January 9th I believe and just got it yesterday. Whatever problems they had at customs or whatever must of really upset a lot of people. The company I ordered from had an absolutely MASSIVE skid of arrow parts, shipping out dozens of orders to their final owners yesterday. I am glad I finally got mine before the weekend so I can install it this Saturday! ::012:: ::012::

So far, I AM hating it! I am no mechanic and my exhaust came with no instructions whatsoever so I've been doing everything wrong.. Just last night, I was putting the exhaust back together for the second time after applying exhaust paste to the collector.. waited an hour for it to cure, and then I went back down to do the final clamp adjustment to tighten it all up.. I didn't even get 3 turns before the clamp went SNAP and broke.. literally just minutes before I was supposed to go to bed... You bet I sat up for 2 hours stewing over it and telling myself how much I suck at fixing bike stuff. UGH!!

My sarcasm font is not working ::025::

The fit is a bit touch and go, and no mine came with no instructions. When I was rebuilding my motor, I made sure I marked the pipes, to know which one goes where.
The clamp on the muffler is shit. The nut behind the pipe spins if you loosen it. I made mine work this time around, might be different once i need to take it off one more time.

Once installed, it's a great exhaust, and will wake the bike up
