Speaking of an Arkansas get together, I am the Dakotas/Nebraska State Director of the Motorcycle Sport Touring Association (MSTA) starting this year and I am putting together an adventure ride to do during the MSTA T-24 rally for some of us Nebraskan ST owners (and BMW GS guys) May 11-13, 2012. Traditionally, the T rally has been based out of Mena, Ar and all I have ever done at the rally is ride dualsport and I have lots of good tracks to plan an adventure route. This year due to remodeling of the Queen Wilhelmina lodge or something, it has moved to Marble Fall, just north of Jasper, Ar. another great area where I have been riding dualsport and street for a good number of years to plan an adventure bike route out of. I am definitely planning an Arkansas adventure ride of some kind the weekend of May 11,12,13. Wether out of Mena or Marble Fall, I haven't decided yet. The Marble Fall ride would include some of the stuff I did for the ride I referenced in my previous post one or two posts up.

Marble Falls is a great area to ride. I stayed at the former Dog Patch, forget what it's called now but it's a motorcycle motel that has great riding just as soon as you pull out of there driveway.

The old Dog Patch location in Marble Falls is called the Hub. It is a motorcycle destination and welcomes cyclists with hotel, restaurant, etc. MSTA has moved their AMA sanctioned T - 24 event to the Hub since Queen Willimena state park is closed for renovation. T - 24 is a sport touring association event that welcomes all riders. I saw my first Yamaha super tenere at the MSTA hill country ride at the YO ranch resort this past October.

Their are numerous gravel roads paralleling the beautiful National Scenic Buffalo River in the Marble Falls area.

I have reservations at the Hub and am looking forward to this event.

For more info check out the MSTA site. A membership is required but includes on free registration to an MSTA event.

Hey Terry,
Congrats on becoming the NE state director. I guess Mike is 'retiring' after all those years as director.
If you are including some dual sport riding for big adventure bikes like the ST, count me in!
Is there camping at the Hub?

Hey Roadlizard,
That was my brand new ST at the YO in Oct... ::022::
