I want to start looking for a stronger pair of pegs.. In the last year I have seen several pictures of several Super Tenere pegs breaking.... I'm sure it would be under warranty..... But after I fall and brake my arm and back I don't think that will be under the Yamaha warranty :D

Anyone know if the YZ450 pegs will fit ? They had something change in or about 08-09... there are new part numbers for the 2010, Etc...... I know that Pivot pegs already have there model out.. Ive tried them before and didn't like them.... I just want a standard race dirt bike peg...... Any ideas ? THANK

That's a nice looking peg, but will wear out the soles of your boots pretty quick.
Could you tell me where you read about the pegs on the s10 breaking. I stand on the pegs and would not like that happening. :D

Very true. I have real real dirt bike pegs on my old KLR that I use for commuting and I have just about worn through the sole of my left boot. The right is close behind it.

I agree with you... These have three type of "grip spikes" a Low profile, Medium profile, and a High 'race' profile............... They come with the tall spikes.... Ill get the low-pro.... ;)

Several have broken over on the ADVRider site... Guys where going off road and the peg it self snapped off.... "IF" that ever happened to me I would really be pissed.... Not cuz it would cost to replace, (but wouldn't under warranty) its because the chance of me getting really hurt if it broke would be high, someone could get really hurt... not worth chancing on an aluminum peg... Does anyone know if just normal aftermarket dirt bike (Yamaha) pegs will fit?

I have the Long Pegs on my KTM 990. They fit big feet and are easy to stand on.

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=305094

I ordered some Yamaha pegs from the UK in February and have been working with a CNC shop to develop some larger custom pegs in Billet Aluminum. I have the pegs and they look like they will do the trick. Wider, and Longer, Billet not pot metal and a good cleat design. The stock yamaha pegs look like they came off a Honda Trail 90

Once we get them fitted on a bike and ridden for a while more will be posted. I expect the shop will sell them for under $200.00 US. I have no financial interest in the sales, I just wanted pegs that will work will feet size 11 -15 :D

The pegs from Twisted Throttle are 15mm or .6" lower than stock. Does anyone know if there are any other pegs that are lowered?

I did the TT pegs...they are adjustable to two heights....as I recall, I put mine on the high adjustment, which was pretty close if not right on, to the stock pegs...at least they don't "feel" any different while riding.

They're wider and have a fitting that plugs into the peg attachment, strengthening the whole attachment. The rubber can be unscrewed for off-road, or left on for LD touring....they are wider and I haven't yet felt any advantage/disadvantage.

Jaxon, check out the connection and see if those don't fit your needs.

Thanks for the information. Not sure what TT pegs are so I searched Touratech and did not find anything so I searched Twisted Throttle and found these... SW-Motech On / Off Road rider foot pegs http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/5700/821/ . Is this what you have?

Trying to get comfortable on the Super Tenere.
