Welcome Joe. There's more and more folks from ST-Owners everyday, although you're the first I've heard of going back and forth.

You going to set up the 2014 like your first STen? Yours was the first one I ever saw in person. 2012 Moonshine, camping at the farm. I've been smitten ever since. Still waiting for my 2014 ES.

Probably a similar setup but not sure. I still have some trekker cases I can use. I liked the jesse bags a lot but the 10" are just huge and the smaller ares are more money. I think I'll be happy with the trekkers. I'm planning on moving my V46N top box over to the S10 this time so that will be different.

Well, my local dealer was giving me the runaround so I went a couple hundred miles towards Houston and picked up this one at a better price.

Got it home and started putting some stuff on it...

I have the say the T and S mode are definitely a bigger difference than on my 12.
I still get a little wind noise with the shield in the highest position so probably adding a spoiler.
The seat doesn't seem to be the torture rack that one on the 12 was but not sure if it's an LD seat yet.
Love the display and all the ways you can show what you want.
I've never cared all that much for a cruise control even when I had them on my wings but this one works very well.
Not sure about the mirrors yet, just a strange shape but I think they'll just take some getting used to.
I think I'm going to really like this bike...

Joe here, I see some familiar faces. I run the ST-Owners.com site and have caught the dual sporting bug.

I'm seriously considering the Super Tenere and the Moto Guzzi Stelvio NTX.

So far, the Guzzi has an upper hand at tank range but the Yamaha is beating it in every other category so it's number one on the list.

Not sure if I can afford the bike and the extras I'd want to put on it this year but I still have the ST and will keep it at least until Honda comes our with a new one.

Anyway, glad to be here and hope to see what all the buzz is about, can't wait to see more folks getting the bikes and posting observations.
I thought I recognized that name I was a member of the ST site while I owned a 94' ST11 loved that bike!

Welcome back, You have not missed a thing! No really! If we are not out riding we are here with nothing to talk about. We spend most of our time telling the new folks to not worry about it, and just go ride.

The are both 37L cases on a Std '14 using the Givi CAM side mounts. They mount up great. The only remote issue is the right LED turn signal just barely touches the right bag. Thanks!
