Hey guys, this is Jeremy from AltRider. Nancy, our marketing coordinator, and I are doing most of the organizing right now and we're definitely getting stoked for this ride.
I wanted to show you some pictures from the area that we will be riding in.
How is it bigger and better than last year?
Dave McKay of Griptwister Tours and I were having a hard time with the snow still present in June last year. Now that the Hoh Rainforest Ride is later in the summer, the peninsula is at it’s prime riding condition.
• More daring routes at higher altitudes, remote areas, and completely off pavement
• Campgrounds are at the Satsop Center with actual bathrooms AND showers -- no more Port-A-Potty!
• A thrilling route back home on Sunday
• Huge prize giveaways such as a free PSSOR riding course, ICON gear, gift certificates and much more
The $195 entry fee includes:
- Epic GPS – led routes created for ALL skill levels by guide guru David McKay of GripTwister Tours
- 2 nights of camping nestled in the pristine forests of the Olympic National Park
- 5 locally sourced meals catered by Mary from the Skokomish Tribe -- Fry bread, fresh oysters and elk stew will be on the menu again along with King Salmon this year!
- Locally drafted beer and adult beverages to be enjoyed nightly by a crackling fire
- An entertaining presentation from Dan T. Moore, a world traveler who's rode along the Silk Road, the US Continental Divide, and all over South America on two wheels. Check out his current journey from Cape Town to Cairo, approximately a 9,950 mile trek over 70 days.
- An off-road teaching seminar from the experienced coaches at Puget Sound Safety Off-Road (PSSOR)
