Altrider vs Touratech skid plate?

I foolishly ordered the Yamaha "skid plate" before I found this forum and before realized that it's not really up for the type of riding I occasionally do. Time to replace. What I really want is Jaxon's beast, but my budget is around $350, leaving me with the above choices. I want to get away from having the skid plate mounted directly to the soft underbelly. The Altrider has this covered and as far as I can tell, so does the Touratech. Any opinions on one vs the other?

ACD from Ebay. Fits all of those requirements.

I beat the crap out of my Altrider skid plate in Colorado. It came through like a trooper. Hard for me not to recommend it. Since then, I switched over the "The Vault" from Jaxon. Yep, pricey. But I no longer have to drop the skid plate to change the oil/filter and I NEVER worry about bashing in my case on trails. ::008::

How long?
My ACD skid plate showed up in about 2 weeks.....maybe a little less.

I think they had some issues over the holidays but seems they have it sorted out. Contact them for availability before you order.

I have the sw-motech plate and have taken a couple of really good licks. It's deformed quite a bit and I think it's going to be a real challenge to re-install it when I go to change the oil. If that's the case then I'll probably go to the Altrider.
