I just installed a luggage rack and looking for a waterproof storage box that will slide in the the space between the upper and lower parts of the rack. roughly a 2" h X 8"w x 8" deep. Anyone find a good option? And how did you secure it?

Touratech has a water resist bag that will fit. I've used it for a year and a half now with no water issues and I've ridden in heavy wet conditions.

That would work, but I don't want to spend that much.
Thanks

I'm like you so I made a tool bag out of a car inner tube. 100% water proof and cheep

That is areal good idea, hides great and won't rattle. I have a tractor tube in the barn.

I looked for a long time and the cheapest way to go is using an inner tube.

I ended up using a Moose Racing fender tool bag I had in a junk box. Fits ok and I held it in place with a bungee. Was able to stuff a first aid kit, black tape, tie wire, and other small items.

I was rummaging around in my wife's kitchen cabinet and found a plastic Chinese take out container that fits perfectly, big enough for my 12v air compressor and tire repair kit. It's not as heavy duty as tupperware but works and replacing it as easy as calling for takeout. ::008::

Looks good and I like your black strap. This is almost as good as some of the do it your self items from the KLR sites.
