http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=638662 MortiisMachine and Hoebster, Just completed a 2 week ride through Mexico's Copper Canyon; our Ride Report is here at Adventure Rider. I rode my 2009 BMW F650GS over 1,000 miles offroad in the Mexican States of Chihuahua, Sinaloa and Sonora.

Made 7 deep water river crossings: Three of Rio Batopilas and 4 of Rio Urique. A KTM "drowned" here, destroyed the engine.

Group photo before taking "The Drop" into Batopilas Canyon; I am standing next to mi Salma Hayek, my BMW GS! I am wearing the orange long sleeved T-shirt.

Our dual sport bikes loaded up on the ferry that takes you across Lake Huites, on the Urique to Choix road. Even the Mexican goats thought that we were muy loco!

Mortiis Machine: If you are interested, I am leading an off road adventure for my friends down the Baja Peninsula (both sides) from March 16 - 25. This trip is by invitation only, consider yourself invited! May even cross over the Sea of Cortez to the Mexican Mainland, utilizing the overnight La Paz to Mazatlan ferry.

Wow thanks beemerdons what an amazing invtite, sounds like an amazing oppourtunity but I wouldn't be able to make for a few reasons, main ones being I'm in the UK and don't have my Super Ten yet, should most likely have it in April / May, the new ride will be my first ever adventure bike and everything I have owned before is on road only. Reading your ride report and looking at the photos is inspiring me to give some off road riding a ago. Once I have settled in with the new ride I will have to find somewere to try it out (easy going stuff first), I think Yamaha run a off road school in the UK as well so I may check that out as I'll need some pointers for sure.

Once again thanks for the invite and taking the effort with all your fantastic photos and ride report, I can't wait to read your next report from the March 2011 trip, just thought thats actually the same time my wife is doing the final part of her bike test, fingers crossed she will pass this time, 3rd time lucky.

Mortiis Machine, To celebrate my 63rd Birthday on October 28, I'll be riding in Morocco and Spain. Riding in a Muslim country has always been on my bucket list and I will finally ride Africa in Year 2011.

Perhaps we can cross M/C paths while I am in Spain, I am picking up my BMW GS in Andalusia and ferrying across to Africa from Tarifa; when I return to Espana, I plan on a quick blast to the Pyrenees.

http://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php?showuser=498 Swagger and MortiisMachine, I know this is a small world these days, I have ran into friends all over the world, in the most unlikely of places. Do you gentlemen happen to know my friend David Clarke of Chatham, Kent, England? He is very active in Yamaha FJR 1300 circles and his profile on www.fjrforum.com is above.

I'm good friends with the Italian FJR Forum and participated in their Pyrennes Run of 3 years ago. I flew into Barcelona and rented a BMW R1200GS and Dave rode his FJR down from the UK; the IT contingent arrived with their FJR's aboard the night ferry and we proceeded to ride Spain, Andorra and France for 10 days.

Dave has since flown into Phoenix, AZ and stayed at my house, and borrowed my 2003 FJR: To participate in my Annual Death Valley Daze Ride I'm Rally Master of. Just thought I'd ask you two, if you knew my English Amigo!!!

http://www.azbeemers.org/forum/index.php?topic=2760.0 If you enjoy Motorcycle Ride Reports of Mexico, I am always South of the Border on two wheels, here is a Baja Run I led a few years ago. Here is my lovely Miss Lucy Liu, my 2003 Yamaha FJR 1300.

Quatro Amigos at Land's End! All ex-military, left to right: SkooterG, Navy Officer (Annapolis), then 3 Vietnam Era Army Sergeant's - Fast Eddie, Papa Chuy and Carlos.

Desayuno en Todos Santos, Baja California Sur; Hotel California is just up the street, where the Eagles wrote their hit song while high on Tequila, Mezcal and Peyote.
