Quoted price of the bike is $13,625
Unless you are really wanting to deal with this particular dealer, there are much better deals out there......

My dealer didn't know what it was either. But they immediately swore they could get one, even though I hadn't ordered it under the PDP. I thought they were BSing me, but they did find me one.

Their first quote was ridiculous, like a thousand dollars over MSRP. I told them it would make me very happy to have the bike, but that feeling like an idiot would make me very unhappy, and I'm all about maximizing my own happiness. :) We settled for about $800 under MSRP, plus tax and title of course.

Well I found a very knowledgeable small dealer in Auburn, Al. He doesn't have one but did find a Tenere that he said he could get. Quoted me $14,800 out the door. Does that price seem reasonable ?
Nope, not to me it wouldn't be. Last December I offered dealer here in Denver $12k. No can do. I then offered him $12.5k and took the bike for a test ride. Before I left on the ride he said nope to $12.5. When I returned he said ok to $12.5. I gave him the PDP check and he gave me buyer's order. I bitched a bit over the $300 add for dp&h, but what the hay, he's still agreed to a 'reasonable' price. The bike arrived this summer, but I asked for the five hundred back as I had second thoughts about how much use I would get out of it, and the cost of farkling.

But ther are S10s available here, it's getting cold and snowing out there. I'm getting interested in the S10 again, so I think I will pay him a visit and see if I can get the same deal. As far as 'out the door goes', B.S. It's what you pay the dealer that counts. The remainder of your cost goes to line the state, county and city coffers :-[
