I tried to coat some practising pieces.
Pictures are not good because I can't take bikes out, we have winter now.

My S10.

And my son's V-strom.

I like it. I'm impressed how well it wraps on those surfaces. How difficult was it to apply?

Cool. Nice stuff. But I suspect I don't have the required patience.

And, we don't really have winter here. ;)

She's outside waiting for me to leave work early and take the long way home.

How easy? What to say?
At least in the beginning not so easy but practising makes a master.
You need a lot of patience a knife a hair drier and two hands.
If you had three hands (one can be your wife's) it would be even better. ;)
A credit card to bye wrap film and to use it as a tool.
And a bit of knowledge how to work and how to strech the film.

I really like the way that looks, might have to try it for a tank guard.

Ok, so I got to looking at this stuff, did you use the 3m primer and edge sealer too, or just clean the surfaces with alcohol or something to begin with?

Thanks,
Lynn

I didn't use any primer or anything else, just cleaned painted/lacquered surfaces with break cleaner and plastics with xylene.
Without primer or edge sealer it's easy to take the film off just by warming it.
On tight bendings it might be good to use primer on plastic surfaces but NOT on painted.
Time will show how the film will stick and how it will react to heat exchange.

On my bike's tank there is different kind of wrap film (wrapped 2 years ago), it was something Italian Easy Wrap.
I think it's better on hard rubbing surfaces, the 3M 1080 may not be good in that kind of use.
On the contrary 3M 1080 is better on tuning and does stretch easier and stick better on bendings.

Compare different wrap films before buying, on flat surfaces the film can be thicker.

Once more and then I don't bother you with my 'carbons' for a while.

That carbon wrap looks AWESOME.

2 (4) quick questions:
1. What bend is that Pro Taper? Stock brake lines?
2. Are those the KTM grips? Are they harder or softer than the stock grips?

1. Bend is CR Mid with stock brake lines. The Pro Taper handlebar and Rox Risers I purchased a week ago from USA.
2. Grips are a little harder than stocks and they are Daytonas (sold by KTM? in USA)
