If you research, it is a common complaint that the stock foam seat does not have enough padding upfront. At first, on shorter rides of around an hour or so, I did not have much complaints but then noticed the tank loving problem on half day/full day rides. The Seat Concept foam has more material upfront, keeping you back from the tank.I was thinking to try Seats by Spencer if the Helibar don't make the seat better
But, I did not get all day comfort from the Seat Concept foam, even with denser option. The stock seat was hurting my bums after about an hour and the SC foam moved this out to about 2 hours. I then had to add an Airhawk for longer rides but, everyone's bums are different.
If doing long distance riding often, it maybe worth the custom seat job. I wish I had gone that route in the first place.
Also, I am heavy at 235 lbs. So, may not be an issue for an average person.
