Hi All,
1st post and new owner of a 2015 ES (Red). ;)
Loves = crazy good handling / looks big handles light / confidence inspiring
So So = lazy throttle in Tour Mode / Engine feels a bit held back or choked up / Sound of Exhaust (nothing there) / I feel I can use the bars back a simge more / Jury is out on the seat.
No go = S mode - Twitchy as all get out. Need that to be a bit more smooth/liner

I feel I need the following mods to truly appreciate the bike -
1. Slip On Exh - Delkevic Stuby 14" looks and sounds about right
2. ECU Flash - Who to use for best results in (T & S Modes)
3. HeliBars mount (up 1.25 / back 1.5) - although need to look at the current mounts and see if it's worth rotating them. - Any known issues with this?
4. K&N filter - any benefits outside of reusable?

Coming from a 17 Triumph T120 - decat, slip ons, K&N filter, etc.

What you all say?

Echoing VRODE, Anthony does a great job with flashes...and his turn-around is awesome!

For the rest of the stuff you mentioned, the bike is your canvas.

Echo the above: Anthony flash and HeliBar risers. Exhaust? Meh....can't see spending dough to make the bike louder, why call attention to yourself? The price of a decent slip-on could instead get you a gas, meals, and cheap hotel for a weekend trip.

Stay away from K&N filters. There's a reason they flow more air - Years ago a construction company did a comparison of the K&N filters with stock paper filters on their dump trucks. The trucks with the K&N's showed a significant increase in wear compared to the trucks with the stock filters. I've had similar experience with dirt bikes. I only use stock paper or oiled foam dual layer filters. YMMV.

I'm the new owner of the exact same bike! Got it last month. Just the other day I mounted a set of Advrider bars. I would just hate for this beast to fall over without the protection.

Yeah, bars might be a worthy investment. To this point I don't see a lot of off road-ness happening, due to having a Dirt Bike (300xcw) for that aspect of life - but you never know.

I don’t expect mine to go down in the dirt. I’m more worried about me doing something stupid and dropping her.

Two must haves for me. Crash bars and a skidplate.
You need some sort of protection when you do tip it over. And you will. Put it on the center stand leave your side stand down, forget about the side stand being down. Hop on ready to take off, Rock it off the center stand and boom it hits the side stand and down it goes to the right. AMHIK.

Givis have been excellent for me.

Skidplate because your cat hangs low in a bad spot. See scratches on the bottom of my plate. I would have been replacing my headers first ride out. 2A721A0F-57D3-4150-8167-EC8DC5E69162.jpeg

Not funny, I did that number yesterday. Bike was on the center and side was down, rocked the bike forward and BANG! hit the stand on the way down, all stayed upright, no damage I can see, but scared the B Gees out me. Ok - Skid & Bars, but I still want a Flash & Slip-On. I have priority's and or issues. ;)

I really like the Rumbux plate and bars. Nice install, easy oil change and frame attachment. Even on decent fire roads the rocks kick up all the time and clearance is kind of low.

I went with the helibar and like the new reach but also helps with stand up riding for tall folk.

The ECU reflash made the throttle response so much smoother. Near first on the list for me.

The stock seat foam sucks. Nice custom options out there or Seat Concepts for a lower cost, do it yourself experience.

And so much more....

Have fun shopping.

AMen - finally a flash fellow
I was thinking to try Seats by Spencer if the Helibar don't make the seat better

Hey Mak10, Looks like you have a ACD skid plate and you said Givi for the bars? How's the plate when it's Oil Filter time?
Just did the oil. It adds a bit of time to the change. I did the stud mod, when I installed the plate. That saves a lot of hassle.

It’s easier to remove the ACD plate than the factory tin plate on my Toyota Tundra.
