I didn't have any problems with the mirrors on my 12. I tried my buddies 12 with extenders but there was much more vibration. I thought it was because of the extenders. But now that this clutch basket vibration issue has come up perhaps his 12 had that problem? We will never know as his 12 was destroyed on the trip back from Baja while crossing Texas. The ones on my 14... well I might benefit from the extenders. It seems for $16.95 I should try them.

I just got back from a 1500 mile trip (OR+ID+WA) with a 2012 R mirror, and a 2014 L mirror. I had a chance to compare both under different conditions. I can now say that the 2014 is better for 2 main reasons: less vibration, and less shoulder view. I wish they would have been a tiny bit wider, but overall I like them. I will be ordering a Right one shortly.

I love the mirrors on my '14. Very little vibration and they stay adjusted right where I set them.

I put mirror extenders on my 2014 ES. Drove it 5,000+ miles. I thought the mirrors worked very well compared to the other bikes I have owned. They did not vibrate..and I could see very well with them. Without the extenders I saw my jacket a lot.

Agreed. Much better then the older version and mine don't shake at all.
