What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Recently I removed my CAT and modified my muffler. It flows so much better. I already had Anthony reflash it and it seems not to need any further attention in that dept. I also installed an MC Cruise cruise control which was a little time consuming since I did a lot of little extras while I...

Lower Exhaust Header Bolt Won't line up

I got it. I just had to pry up on the header which I don't like. I hate any type of binding on vibrating parts. I'll have to get back to work. Thanks. BTW the reason the header was off was to remove the cat. The cat itself was in good shape but super restrictive. I do notice it breathing...

Lower Exhaust Header Bolt Won't line up

Put a AltRider skid plate on and there are two bolts on the lower right side for the mount. The larger rearward one lies right up but the one that connects the header to the mount is not even close. Ay way to dance around this? Many thanks. RF

Idling in Neutral while coasting...then...no rear brake

Yes. It works normally. I will get to the bottom of it. I am not worried about it. I am not riding the bike until it is addressed. I am competent. I simply asked if anyone had ever encountered this. I do not get sucked into dolittle plans. I have built dozens of motorcycles in my life and...

Idling in Neutral while coasting...then...no rear brake

Very possible and I will do just that this weekend. The bike has less than 10K on it but it is 8 years old. I talked to the service dept at the local dealer who I have found to be extremely helpful in the past. He said since it returned to normal, it was most likely an electronic glitch of...

Idling in Neutral while coasting...then...no rear brake

I did search and read that yesterday and again this morning. I will bleed and cycle the pump, etc., as soon as I have the time. I will say that since that single conditional event, I have had zero sign of it. Checked this morning even engine off coasting and full brakes. I cannot repeat the...

    Yep. Plenty. Strange. RF

Idling in Neutral while coasting...then...no rear brake

Agree across the board. Brakes work fine engine off. Work fine in fear and under power. Work fine coasting with clutch in while in gear. In neutral....different story. RF

Idling in Neutral while coasting...then...no rear brake

Was slowly idling down a grade yesterday in neutral (coasting) and when I went for a little rear brake, there was none. So, yes I was moving. Yes I was in neutral. Yes the engine was running at idle. After a pump or two, they came back like a failing master cylinder will act but the next...

    Air Box Breather Hose...

Because it is continually pushing oil vapor back into your air filter, throttle bodies, and I simply don't like it. Now I don't have that mess, or have to disconnect and reconnect it when I want to access the top end of the motor. It does work by producing and element not required by the...

    Air Box Breather Hose...

I rerouted the breather and installed a small filter on the end. Also did the CCT, clutch basket, Barnett pressure plate, K&N air filter, plugs, cleaned throttle bodies. The annoying 3200 RPM shudder is totally gone. All that work took a total of about 4 hours and I was cleaning and lubing...

    Air Box Breather Hose...

Haven't been under there yet but it looks like a PITA. Anyone just reroute the thing and slap a filter on it? Looks like that would save time servicing. I have done it on many other bikes without issue. Many thanks. RF

Another ECU Reflash Comment on Anthony

Just sent my ECU off to AVC8130. He received it on a Monday. It was reflashed and on its way back the same day. The bike works great and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend his service. RF

    New Member, New Owner

New to the forum and to my new location. I am in Prescott, AZ from Indianapolis. I am working at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott. Since I live out in the county, I have discovered the county roads of this area are mostly unpaved and unmaintained. I needed a better bike for...
